"I feel that vision has finally been achieved.”

Esha Murder: Karmaphal, starring Azmeri Haque Badhon, is now set to reach a wider audience through its upcoming OTT release.

Streaming platform Binge confirmed the development by releasing an official poster on their Facebook page.

The murder mystery, directed by Sunny Sanwar, had originally hit theatres during Eid-ul-Azha 2025.

It was one of six films released over the festive weekend.

Other Eid releases like Taandob, Utshob, and Insaaf are still screening in cinemas. Esha Murder will be the first among them to transition to digital streaming.

The film explores the investigation of three horrific crimes: young women raped and murdered in the same district.

Badhon plays police officer Leena, who leads the inquiry and gradually uncovers disturbing truths beneath the surface.

This marks Badhon’s first time portraying a law enforcement character.

Viewers and critics alike have noted the seriousness and restraint she brings to the performance.

Although Esha Murder had a slow start at the box office, it gained steady momentum through word of mouth and Badhon’s grassroots promotional efforts.

To support the release, Azmeri Haque Badhon visited single-screen theatres across the country.

These visits created buzz and helped the film connect with audiences who rarely get access to female-led thrillers.

In a recent interview, Badhon thanked the producers for backing a project led by a woman.

She acknowledged that such decisions are still rare in the Bangladeshi film industry.

Badhon said: “I had asked that the film be shown in single theatres. Now with the OTT release, I feel that vision has finally been achieved.”

She also urged other producers to take similar creative risks.

According to her, expanding female presence in cinema should not be a novelty; it should be standard practice.

Her advocacy goes beyond acting and into promoting gender equity in all areas of the filmmaking process.

The OTT release of Esha Murder is seen as another chance for the film to build a larger viewership.

With Badhon’s name attached and a gripping storyline, many believe the film could find fresh success online.

Though a specific release date has not been confirmed, the platform announced that the film will be available within the week.

Audiences can soon expect to catch Azmeri Haque Badhon’s gripping performance from the comfort of their homes.
