The mask triggered a severe allergic reaction

Asma Abbas recently opened up about a distressing health episode, leaving fans deeply concerned.

The actress, known for her dynamic performances and resilient spirit, took to her YouTube channel to provide the update.

She explained the reason behind her recent absence from the public eye.

The update revealed that a cosmetic skin procedure had gone unexpectedly wrong, resulting in a painful reaction that now requires medical treatment.

Asma, who hails from a prominent artistic family and is a cancer survivor, shared that she has always had freckles.

These marks, which run in her family, had become more visible in recent years.

She believes the changes in her skin were partly due to the side effects of chemotherapy, which she underwent during her battle with cancer.

In an effort to reduce the appearance of these freckles, Asma consulted her dermatologist and decided on a cauterisation procedure.

She admitted that for a long time, makeup had been her go-to solution to conceal the spots.

However, she eventually felt it was time to seek a more permanent fix.

The treatment, though initially straightforward, came with unintended consequences.

Later that same evening, while spending time with her daughter and daughter-in-law, Asma applied a face mask.

She was unaware that her post-procedure skin was still highly sensitive.

The mask triggered a severe allergic reaction, leading to a painful breakout of red rashes across her face.

Doctors are now treating the condition with anti-allergy medication, and she’s been advised to remain patient and avoid further skin products.

Her skin, they say, needs time to heal naturally.

Despite the physical discomfort, Asma bravely appeared on camera to share the details with her audience, determined to be transparent about her experience.

The video she posted clearly showed the severe reaction on her skin as she had visible red rashes and inflammation.

Her honesty has been met with widespread support.

Admirers, colleagues, and fellow celebrities have lauded her courage and sent heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.

A user wrote: “Hoping your skin gets better soon Asma apa.”

Many praised her for shedding light on a topic that often goes undiscussed—the risks associated with even minor cosmetic procedures.

Asma Abbas’s message was clear: caution and professional guidance are essential when it comes to any aesthetic treatment.
