Arjun Rampal has stated that he has ‘nothing to do with drugs’ after he was summoned for questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has claimed that he has “nothing to do with drugs” after being questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for seven hours.

On Friday, November 13, 2020, Arjun was interrogated by the agency in association with the reported Bollywood drugs racket.

Speaking about the same, Arjun Rampal interacted with reporters saying:

“I have nothing to do with drugs. I have a prescription for the medicine which was found at my residence and the prescription has been handed over to NCB officials.”

The 47-year-old actor went on to praise the agency for their work. He said:

“I am cooperating with the investigation and the NCB officials are doing a good job.”

It was reported that Arjun Rampal reached the office in Ballard Estate at 11 am and left at around 6 pm.

As well as Arjun, his girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades was also probed by the NCB.

On Wednesday, November 11, 2020, and Thursday, November 12, 2020, Gabriella was summoned for questioning.

Not only that, but Arjun’s friend Paul Bartel was arrested for his association with drugs in the film industry.

Paul who is a foreign nation was arrested on Thursday, November 12, 2020, following interrogation according to an NCB official.

Arjun Rampal was summoned for interrogation after the NCB conducted a search at his residence in Bandra on Monday, November 9, 2020.

During the search, the NCB seized several electronics including laptops, tablets and mobile phones. The actor’s driver was also questioned.

A day before the search, Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife was arrested for the possession of cannabis.

She was later granted bail by a city court as the case continues. Arjun’s girlfriend’s brother, Agisilaos Demetriades, was also arrested by the NCB.

It has been reported that Agisilaos Demetriades was a member of the drug nexus linked to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The NCB seized hashish and alprazolam tablets from Agisilaos Demetriades.

The NCB initially launched the probe into the reported drugs racket in Bollywood after the untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

The actor’s death unearthed many dark secrets in Bollywood. In fact, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was arrested for procuring drugs.

She was later granted bail while her brother, Showik Chakraborty and others remain in custody under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS).

Meanwhile, we wait to find out whether the NCB clears Arjun Rampal of any possible wrongdoing in relation to drugs in Bollywood.
