“I want my life partner to be loyal"
Vedang Raina has broken his silence on whether he is dating Khushi Kapoor.
Dating rumours first came to light after Vedang attended Khushi’s birthday celebrations in November.
The outing was attended by Janhvi Kapoor, her rumoured boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, Orhan ‘Orry’ Awatramani and Vedang.
Orry shared a video of Khushi cutting her cake as Vedang clapped whilst sitting next to her.
Speculation was fuelled following the release of The Archies, which starred Khushi and Vedang.
Vedang has now addressed the ongoing rumours surrounding him and Khushi Kapoor.
Although he shares a “strong” connection with Khushi, Vedang admitted that they are not in a relationship.
He explained: “Khushi and I connected on so many levels. We had a similar taste in music.
“Khushi and I are not dating. I have a really strong bond with her. We’ve known each other for so long, and we have connected on many things.
“I am single right now. When the time is right, hopefully that situation changes.”
Delving into the characteristics of his ideal partner, Vedang says he wants her to be “loyal and sweet”.
He added: “I want my life partner to be loyal, sweet, and hard-working.”
The 23-year-old studied business at the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Mumbai.
He has always had a passion for acting, taking part in school plays.
Vedang started with singing and playing the guitar in inter-college festivals and other events before getting into acting.
Detailing his love for acting, Vedang revealed he signed up with an agency whilst pursuing his business degree. This further nurtured his love for the art.
Vedang admired Hrithik Roshan and was particularly fascinated with Krrish.
He fondly remembered owning a Krrish mask in his childhood and being captivated by the larger-than-life persona who excelled in dancing, acting and appearance.
Vedang stated that Hrithik’s portrayal as Krrish significantly inspired him during his formative years.
As he matured, Vedang said Matthew McConaughey’s performances in Interstellar and True Detective as transformative.
He noted that his acting skills in these works became his favourites and played a crucial role in motivating him to take a more serious approach to acting.
The Archies marked Vedang’s acting debut and in the film, he plays Reggie Mantle.
Reggie is Riverdale’s charmer and a serial dater but he has a secret crush on Veronica Lodge (Suhana Khan).
