Apu Biswas is finally returning to the big screen after a noticeable two-year break from mainstream cinema.

The actress is shooting for a new film, Durbar, where she stars opposite popular television and film actor Shajal Noor.

Known for her long association with Shakib Khan and several commercial hits, her comeback has already generated strong audience curiosity.

This return marks an important phase for Apu Biswas, who had deliberately stepped away to reassess her creative direction.

Her upcoming project, titled Durbar, places her in a thriller setting, offering a noticeable shift from her familiar screen image.

Directed by Kamrul Hassan Fuad, the film aims to explore suspense-driven storytelling with layered characters and emotional depth.

Speaking about the project in a recent interview, Apu said: “In Durbar, audiences will see me moving at a durbar pace.”

She added with visible excitement: “I will be seen in a completely different character and a different visual presentation.”

According to the actress, the film promises surprises that gradually unfold, making patience an essential part of the viewing experience.

Sharing production updates, she revealed: “About forty percent of my shooting has already been completed successfully.”

She further noted: “The remaining portions will be wrapped up soon as the work is progressing smoothly and efficiently.”

Apu Biswas also reflected on her emotional connection with cinema and the identity it had given her.

“It is cinema that gave me my identity and every bit of love came through films.”

She emphasised that her return was planned carefully, prioritising preparation, patience, and meaningful storytelling over rushed visibility.

“I wanted to return with quality work, and I believe this project reflects that intention clearly.”

For the first time in her career, Apu Biswas is sharing screen space with Shajal Noor in a feature film.

Praising her co-star, she said: “Shajal bhai is extremely humble, and I have always admired his acting skills.”

Calling him her dream hero, Apu highlighted the comfort and understanding they developed from the very first shooting day.

According to her, their chemistry feels organic, something she believes viewers will respond to positively once the film releases.

Discussing the director, Apu described Kamrul Hassan Fuad as detail-oriented and emotionally invested in the narrative.

She remarked appreciatively: “The story is different, and I can clearly see maturity and finesse in his direction.”

When asked about her character, the actress chose restraint, stating she prefers revealing details after completion.

“I do not want to disclose anything right now, because the character is best experienced on screen.”

Concluding her thoughts, Apu Biswas expressed gratitude, saying the audience’s love remains her biggest motivation moving forward.
