“Some people made a mockery of what I said"

Abrar-ul-Haq has responded to Mishi Khan’s criticism of him.

Abrar had claimed that he turned down a Bollywood film starring Katrina Kaif.

Mishi Khan mocked his claims, saying:

“The joke of the year.”

Mishi questioned the validity of Abrar’s statement, asking:

“When did you really get this offer and why keep it secret for so long?

“This is ridiculous! Do people act like this when they leave politics?”

Abrar responded with a video statement, clarifying:

“Yes, I was definitely offered a role in a Bollywood movie with Katrina Kaif playing the role of a Pakistani singer.”

He expressed disappointment that people, including Mishi, made fun of his statement.

He said: “Some people made a mockery of what I said, saying I had gone mad after leaving my political party. I find that really sad.”

Abrar emphasised that his priority is not fame or wealth, but helping others and making a positive impact.

He mentioned: “To me, what is more important is to be remembered for how I helped people and how many hospitals I built, not how many Bollywood roles I got offered.

“Some people may drop dead if they receive a Bollywood offer – how cute are you! But not me.

“My biggest achievements are not my international roles. Rather, my biggest achievements are the things I have done to help people.”

Abrar-ul-Haq also mentioned that he has been performing internationally for years.

He said he turned down the Bollywood offer because he couldn’t talk about Kashmir.

“I thought a country that believes in freedom of expression shouldn’t say such things. So I didn’t take those roles.”

Abrar ended his video by cautioning artists against mocking their colleagues online.

He added: “Please be mindful of our values and take care not to insult the people of your own country like this. It only makes a mockery of you, not anyone else.”

Mishi’s initial reaction was met with criticism from Abrar’s fans.

A user questioned: “Mishi Khan has nothing in her life. How can she criticise Abrar considering the amount of his success?”

Another added:

“Abrar does great things while Mishi Khan sits behind the screen and criticises anyone she sees.”

However, many others still did not believe Abrar-ul-Haq.

One said: “It is simply not true.

“If he was actually offered a film with Katrina Kaif, he would not have shut up about it. But he suddenly chose to talk about it after all these years? Why?”

Another wrote: “Making this video just proves that Abrar was lying. Now he is trying to defend himself.”
