Cannes Film Festival wouldn’t be complete without its annual dose of Aishwarya Rai and her head turning red carpet looks.
For over a decade now, Aishwarya has graced the event with fierce and fabulous fashion choices.
From the relatively risqué, to the stylishly simple, her presence at Cannes is always something of a spectacle.
Having already conquered past red carpet looks, all eyes will firmly be fixed upon Ash this year as she showcases her new role in the movie, Jazbaa (2015).
From her gown, to her hair and make-up, she will no doubt continue to captivate her audience as she has done since her first appearance at Cannes in 2002.

2005 ~ Aishwarya in Gucci
2005 was a great year for Aishwarya as she descended down the red carpet at the premier of Lemming (2005).
Wearing a figure hugging Gucci gown, she seduced her audience with this beautiful, black number.
Teamed with simple black stilettos, the sheer laced material across her midriff provided a hint of sensuality.
The relatively provocative plunging neckline made jaws drop, showing off just the right amount of flesh.
Aishwarya opted for minimal jewellery and let her dress do all the talking. Her dangle earrings and chic bracelet glistened perfectly amidst the dark colours of her outfit.
As did her make-up. The natural tones and nude lip colour complimented the dramatic cleavage of the gown.
Definitely one of Ash’s most gorgeous looks.
2006 ~ Aishwarya is Elie Saab
The following year saw another dress which carefully clinched at her curves.
Similar to the Gucci gown, this Elie Saab design perfectly blended together the figure hugging bodice with the train of the dress.
It also poses a nice contrast to the risqué neckline in the Gucci gown, which added to her ever present sex appeal.
The Elie Saab gown revealed just a hint of Aishwarya’s toned legs with a carefully cut incision placed on front trail of the dress.
Her choices of accessories were bold to say the least.
The snake necklace wasn’t a big hit with her fans, but Aishwarya’s simple hair and make-up complimented perfectly against such a statement piece.
2007 ~ Aishwarya in Giorgio Armani
2007 was the year Aishwarya Rai became Mrs Bachchan.
Along with her diamond studded choker necklace, her most prized accessory was quite clearly her husband, Abhishek Bachchan.
Wearing Giorgio Armani, Ash swapped her seductively, sexy dresses for something much more ethereal.
This understated look accentuated why Aishwarya will be forever considered an iconic, Indian beauty.
The soft, pale colours in both her dress and makeup were subtle and fresh, epitomising Ash’s sophisticated look.
This simple yet stylish look coincided perfectly with her husband’s dapper suit, making her appearance at the 2007 Cannes red carpet a definite contender in the fashion stakes.
2014 ~ Aishwarya in Roberto Cavalli
2014 was the year Aishwarya became a true fashion icon.
As the face of the leading cosmetic brand, L’Oreal, her lip colour was a luscious coral red, teamed with matching red painted nails.
The impactful lip colour brought the drama, whilst the voluminous loose curls kept her looking fresh.
The lack of jewellery was meticulously purposeful, as the Roberto Cavalli dress was all that Aishwarya needed to stand out.
Emphasising her motherly curves, this glistening gown clinched perfectly at Aishwarya’s waist.
Without a doubt, this was one of her most powerfully gorgeous looks to date.

Another fashion favourite from Cannes 2014 was Aishwarya’s second red carpet appearance.
Attending the premier of The Search (2014), her look definitely had an Old Hollywood-esque feel to it.
Her hair was very much an emblem of that Old Hollywood image her stylist team desired.
Keeping the make-up subtle and her nail colour metallic, the classic and modern aspects were flawlessly merged together.
It was a bit hit with both her fans and fashion critics.
The embellished Roberto Cavalli ivory white gown hung beautifully on Aishwarya’s frame, creating a delicate and graceful trail towards the end of the dress.
With two gorgeous red carpet appearances in 2014, Aishwarya proved she was back with a bang!
2015 will be Aishwarya’s 14th time at the prestigious film festival. In true diva style, she will arrive fashionably late to the occasion.
Speaking of her past red carpet appearances, UK based celebrity hairstylist, Asgar, commented:

This year, however, will see Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif join Ash on the red carpet, and it’s set to be a fashion face-off.
Kapoor did well in 2014, when she dazzled photographers with her stunningly dramatic Elie Saab couture gown, which was appraised by fashion critics.
With such strong competition, it begs the question, what will Aishwarya wear this year to keep her title of best dressed Bollywood star?
