ZEE5 Global has announced the digital premiere of Tamil action thriller Mask, starring Kavin and Andrea Jeremiah, streaming worldwide from January 9, 2026.
The announcement was made on December 30, with the platform confirming the release for global audiences eager for Tamil cinema beyond theatrical windows.
Written and directed by debutant Vikarnan Ashok, Mask marks his first feature film and positions itself firmly within the action thriller genre.
The film stars Kavin and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles and is jointly produced by The Show Must Go On and Black Madras Films.
It is presented by Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company, lending the project strong creative credibility and industry backing.
Mask follows Velu, portrayed by Kavin, a sharp, money-driven private detective whose professional image masks morally questionable decisions.
Velu’s life takes a dangerous turn when he is drawn into a high-stakes investigation involving a mysterious masked gang.
The case slowly uncovers powerful forces operating behind charitable fronts, with secrets that threaten to destroy several lives.
As the investigation deepens, Velu is forced to confront not only the truth behind the crimes but also the consequences of his own choices.
Speaking about the digital release, Kavin shared his excitement about the film reaching a wider audience through streaming.
“Mask has already had its journey with audiences, and it’s great that the film is now reaching a much wider set of viewers through Tamil ZEE5 Global,” he said.
He added, “Velu is a layered character, and I’m glad more people will get to experience the film and its intensity on the platform.”
Presenter Vetrimaaran also reflected on the film’s themes and its relevance beyond its theatrical release.
“The film deals with themes that remain relevant beyond its theatrical release,” he said, highlighting its continued resonance.
“With Mask streaming on Tamil ZEE5 Global, the story now can travel further and connect with audiences who may be discovering it for the first time,” he added.
The technical team behind the film includes music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by R. D. Rajasekhar, and editing by R. Ramar.
