"He's in a very desperate situation…"
In the BBC’s EastEnders, Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) has had a horrific year, all thanks to Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
After Harry’s friend, Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho), flushed Ravi’s drugs down the toilet, the restaurateur forced Harry to deal for him.
Kojo, who has autism, was also sucked into the dark world. Along with Harry, he was cuckooed into dealing and selling illegal substances.
Ravi and his ringleader, Tobias ‘Okie’ Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu), tormented Harry and Kojo and even held Harry hostage.
Despite Ravi later ordering Okie to release the two victims, Okie took pleasure in continuing to torture them both.
Ultimately, Harry and Kojo managed to escape, but a violent altercation led to Harry fatally stabbing Okie by mistake.
To save Harry from legal repercussions, his father, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian), falsely confessed to killing Okie and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Devastated by his father’s wrongful incarceration, Harry overdosed multiple times but recently returned from rehab.
But despite being clean from drugs, Harry swore revenge against Ravi, who has reluctantly turned into a police informant to avoid prison.
Despite Kojo advising his friend to let go of the past, Harry is still seething, especially since his younger brother, Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman), left the family home in the wake of the ordeal.
In the episode of EastEnders, broadcast on December 30, 2025, Harry cornered Ravi and said:
“You’re an animal, Ravi. One day, I hope you feel the pain that we have.”
Upcoming episodes of the show will see Harry and his mother, Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), put their revenge plan against Ravi into action.
In Harry’s Barn nightclub, Nicola will spike Ravi’s drink, leading him to hallucinate.
As a disorientated Ravi staggers out of the club, Harry is waiting for him at The Arches.
An EastEnders insider revealed: “Harry gets Ravi exactly where he wants him – in a locked garage full of heavy tools and weapons.
“Nicola’s spiking leaves Ravi confused and vulnerable – he’s in a very desperate situation…”
However, before Harry get inflict any damage on Ravi, his uncle Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) turns up and takes him away, leaving a drugged Ravi alone.
Although he manages to escape from The Arches, his hallucinations cause him to lash out, with disastrous results.
The insider continued: “Viewers will have to wait to see how things pan out, but his actions could alter his life forever.”
Meanwhile, EastEnders recently revealed that Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) was Zoe Slater’s (Michelle Ryan) stalker in the show’s Christmas episodes.
The show is also exploring the return of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and will air a special flashforward episode centred on the character.
The episode will air on January 1, 2026, and will show glimpses of Max’s story leading up to the New Year of 2027.
