“Pair pe chadhaya” (He ran over my foot).
In an unfortunate incident, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan’s car ran over a paparazzi’s foot on Thursday, February 27 2020.
There is no doubt that wherever Bollywood stars go they are followed by shutterbugs who hound them. From daily gym workouts to fancy dinner dates the paparazzi are always present.
Sometimes as a result of this, it can lead to unforeseen incidents like was the case with Varun Dhawan.
The actor was travelling by car with his girlfriend Natasha Dalal to attend filmmakers Shashank Khaitan’s birthday party at his residence.
Upon Varun’s arrival, the paparazzi swarmed around his car. This led to accidentally running over one of the photographer’s foot.
This incident was captured in a video that has gone viral. The photographer shouted, “Pair pe chadhaya” (He ran over my foot).
Varun Dhawan then got out of his car to check on the photographer.
In the video, Varun can be seen speaking to the paparazzi telling them not to create a frenzy as he does pose for them.
He said: “Tumko photo kab nahi diya hai ki tum log aise karte ho? (When have I not given you pictures that you resort to this?)
Varun continued to ask them why they create such a commotion. He said:
“Main nikal ke aata hoon na tum logon ke paas. (I always come out and pose for you).
“Kyun halla karte hoon? Kab nahi diya hai? Roz toh deta hoon. (Why do you create such a commotion? I pose for you every day).
Varun then takes time to pose for the photographers and inquires whether the injured photographer is fine. After being reassured, Varun goes into joining the party celebrations.
On the work front, Varun was last seen in Remo D’Souza’s Street Dancer 3D (2020) alongside Shraddha Kapoor.
The film received mix reactions from audiences and critics alike and was described as a rather mundane film.
Varun will hit the big screen again with his upcoming release, the remake of the 1995 film Coolie No 1.
In the namesake film, Varun will star opposite Sara Ali Khan. Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Javed Jaffrey and more will feature as supporting roles.
The film is scheduled to release on May 1, 2020.
Unfortunately, these kinds of incidents do occur because of the rush and commotion. Luckily, the photographer’s foot did not sustain any major injuries.
