“I wasn’t told that the series has bold scenes."
Uorfi Javed may have only been on Bigg Boss OTT for a brief time but she is constantly in the limelight, mainly because of her revealing outfits.
This led to her being asked to take on a bold acting role but she refused and according to Uorfi, producers sent goons after her.
Speaking about her revealing outfits, Uorfi said that she has been wearing such outfits since childhood.
She explained: “I’ve done this since childhood and I have been doing this for a long time.
“I like to wear something that makes me stand out. I am bold and that should be visible in my clothes as well.
“You cannot expect Cardi B to dress in salwar and saree. People dress up according to their personality.”
Uorfi has been in the acting industry since 2016 and for her, it has been a long journey.
“It was a difficult journey, it was very difficult.
“Mumbai has many problems, how have I survived, I know that.
“But without hurdles there isn’t fun in enjoying success.
“I had a typical ‘struggler’ life. People try to take advantage.”
Revealing that she was replaced overnight on several TV shows, Uorfi Javed said:
“On (several) TV shows, without giving any reasons, I was told, ‘You don’t have to come the next day, we are replacing you’.
“I used to get upset.
“I was doing a mythology show, and I went to a set in Naigaon at 5:30 am. The creative (producer) saw my Instagram which was always very bold.
“It was a mythology show and I was in my room for 6-7 hours.
“Nobody came into my room, and when I asked them, they said they have replaced me. I think they saw my Instagram and thought I wasn’t fit for a mythology show.”
She went on to reveal that she was manipulated to do a bold scene for a web series but when she refused, the producers sent goons after her.
“I wasn’t told that the series has bold scenes. When I went on the sets, they were forcing me to do it, saying I have signed a contract.
“They knew that there is no one behind me. Eventually, I didn’t do the web series. I suffered whatever happened to me, but on the fourth day, I didn’t go to the sets.
“They sent goons to my house. My roommate told me that people were looking for me.”
“Of course, I was scared. I was afraid of what they will do but I will give up living in fear. You have to face your fear.”
When it comes to her personal life, Uorfi Javed hinted that she is in a relationship but is keeping it under wraps.
She said: “I’m not telling anyone (who I’m dating) until I’m ready to talk about it.
“Not everyone is comfortable with trolling. And the kind of trolling I get, I do not want my partner to go through it. Unless and until we are sure of each other.”
She was previously in a relationship with Paras Kalnawat and speaking about him, Uorfi said:
“We are cordial with each other. He is not my enemy. I have spent a beautiful time with him. We started our journeys together. We have seen some tough times together. We used to have dates in an auto, we used to have tea dates.”
When they broke, Paras claimed he never got closure. Uorfi added:
“No breakup ever has a conclusion. Nobody gets closure. There is nothing like closure. You need to find it yourself. It takes a bit of maturity. None of us got closure. And I’m not looking for it.”
