“It's disgusting to repeatedly see low lives"
Trisha Krishnan furiously hit back at politician AV Raju for making “disgusting” comments about her.
Raju, who was recently ousted from the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party, sparked fury with his comments.
He claimed Trisha was brought to a resort on the insistence of an MLA in exchange for a sum of money.
On social media, netizens were shocked by Raju’s comments.
Actor and director Cheran called for the arrest of AV Raju for spreading rumours about Trisha without any evidence.
He tweeted: “I strongly condemn… The law and police must take action against those who, without evidence, defame members of the film industry in public.
“I trust that the actors’ association, including Vishal and Karthi, will take appropriate and necessary actions.”
Trisha hit back at the politician and others for making false claims about her.
On X, she said: “It’s disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention.
“Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken.
“Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department.”

Fans praised the actress for her befitting reply, with one writing:
“What a reply. Stay strong Trisha.”
Another said: “That’s a fitting reply.”
After facing backlash, the politician later issued a public apology to Trisha.
This is not the first time that Trisha has faced derogatory comments.
In November 2023, Mansoor Ali Khan caused anger when he revealed his thoughts after discovering he would be acting with Trisha in Leo.
He said: “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film.
“I thought that I could carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies.
“I have done so many rape scenes in a number of movies and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the Kashmir schedule.”
Trisha reacted: “A recent video has come to my notice where Mr Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner.
“I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste.
“He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well.
“People like him bring a bad name to mankind.”
After initially standing by his comments, Mansoor issued an apology.
In a lengthy statement, he said:
“My co-star Trisha, please forgive me. I hope God gives me the opportunity to bless you when you enter marital bliss.”
