Ranbir Kapoor’s first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War has been unveiled, giving fans their most anticipated glimpse.
Bhansali Productions shared the first-look poster, revealing Ranbir in a striking and intriguing visual for the first time.
The actor is seen driving a vintage car dressed in a white T-shirt and glasses while sporting a short buzz cut throughout the image.
While his overall look is deliberately understated, one detail immediately commands attention and refuses to be overlooked.
His hand grips the steering wheel firmly while his other hand is visibly bruised and bloodied.
The caption accompanying the release read: “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!”
Co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt also shared the poster from their personal social media handles.
Vicky wrote alongside the shared poster: “Here we go! RK… Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027.
“See you at the movies!”
Love & War brings Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal together on screen for the very first time in a Bhansali production.
The project also marks Ranbir’s reunion with Bhansali nearly two decades after their collaboration on Saawariya in 2007.

Bhansali is also working with Alia once again following their critically acclaimed and commercially successful collaboration on Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Ranbir and Vicky have previously shared the screen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, while Alia and Vicky worked together in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi.
The film is described in reports as a period romantic war drama written by Bhansali himself alongside writer Ila Bedi Dutta.
Reports suggest Ranbir and Vicky play Indian Air Force officers whose lives become deeply intertwined with Alia’s character.
A love triangle unfolding amid the chaos and sacrifice of wartime forms the apparent emotional core of the story.
Supriya Pathak also features in a key role within the film’s ensemble cast alongside the three principal leads.
The makers have kept the film’s story largely under wraps, with extraordinary security measures taken to prevent any information from leaking.
A source close to the production said that the team was “leaving no stone unturned to protect the film’s world and prevent any content from leaking out.”
Love & War wrapped its main shoot in September 2026 after filming across multiple schedules that began in November 2024.
The film has been postponed twice from its original release plan and is now set for a worldwide theatrical release on January 21, 2027.
It will be released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, reflecting the makers’ ambition to position Love & War as a truly pan-India cinematic event.
