"Was collected by the famous Apprentice taxis here, hehe."
Amina Khan, a former contestant on the 2024 series of The Apprentice, revealed anecdotes about the taxis used in the show.
The businesswoman also opened up on some other incidents she faced while she participated in the competition.
Sharing the details about the taxis that transport the eliminated candidates, Amina told her TikTok followers:
“We film the walking out after the ‘you’re fired’ scene weeks before we enter the process.
“Was collected by the famous Apprentice taxis here, hehe.”
Although Amina filmed her scene in which she walked towards the taxi before shooting the tasks, she shot her exit monologue in the vehicle after being fired.
Reminiscing about this, the pharmacist said: “I was very upset. You probably saw in the cab scene – my eyes were red, my mascara dripping down my face.
“That was because before that, I just had a massive meltdown!”
Amina Khan also delved into the hardship she faced when she had to leave her baby daughter to commence filming The Apprentice.
She said that she suffered difficulties related to breastfeeding that new mothers often endure:
“Every morning I woke up, my chest was full of milk and swollen.
“I was so worried I’d end up sick and super engorged.”
Her TikTok followers commended Amina for her resolve and dedication.
One fan said: “Well done for your achievement. Your daughter will be so proud.”
Another added: “None of us know how much the contestants are suffering mentally and physically.
“So props to you for getting through the process.”
Amina was ousted from The Apprentice on February 22, 2024, in a chaotic task that tested the negotiation and logistics of the candidates.
In the challenge set by Lord Alan Sugar, the candidates were tasked with sourcing nine items in Jersey for as cheap as possible.
Amina was the sub-team leader of Team Supreme, but she did not know what some of the items were.
In a shambolic display of poor decisions and weak logistics, Amina and her sub-team failed to source all of the items and were late to the meeting destination.
This contributed towards Team Supreme losing the task and as a result, Amina was fired along with Project Manager Jack Davies.
However, the 32-year-old from Ilford claimed she did not deserve to leave the process and also admitted that she did not need Lord Sugar’s money.
She explained: “I have the most successful business out of all of the candidates on the show this year.
“It wasn’t for Lord Sugar’s investment, I didn’t really need that.
“It was his mentorship, to scale and grow my business.
“Who better than Lord Sugar for his mentorship to scale my business up?
“Since I’ve left the show I’ve doubled my business so I didn’t need his money.”
Addressing her claim that she should not have been fired, Amina continued:
“I don’t think I should have gone.”
“I think Lord Sugar didn’t give me a chance to showcase my business acumen.
“I have the most profitable business in the show and even amongst all the winners [of The Apprentice] I have the most successful business and Lord Sugar didn’t give me a chance to showcase my skills.
“Anyone could have been fired and I don’t think it should have been me – it was unfair.”
Amina Khan also stated that she was “very good friends” with her fellow candidates.
