"This doesn't apply to those on the pill."

UK pharmacist and entrepreneur Amina Khan has gone viral after sharing five key signs of high fertility in women on TikTok.

Posting on her account @aminathepharmacist, Amina broke down common physical and hormonal indicators many women may notice during their cycle.

Her video has already received over 200,000 views and more than 5,600 likes, sparking wide discussion across social media.

Known online as “Amina the Pharmacist,” she explained that these signs are general observations rather than medical diagnoses.

She encouraged women to understand their bodies while also seeking professional advice when needed.

The first sign Amina highlighted was fertile cervical mucus.

Mid-cycle, many women notice wetter, slippery, stretchy discharge that is often clear and described as “egg-white” like.

This type of mucus helps sperm travel more easily, increasing the chances of conception.

Amina then discussed ovulation pain, also known as mittelschmerz.

This feels like mild, brief twinges or cramping on one side of the lower abdomen around ovulation.

She stressed that this pain should not be severe or long-lasting.

Next, Amina pointed to a higher sex drive as another sign of fertility.

Libido often rises around ovulation because oestrogen and a small increase in testosterone boost sexual desire.

She explained this hormonal shift naturally encourages intimacy during the most fertile window.

Regular, pain-free cycles were also framed as a positive indicator.

Cycles usually fall within 28 to 35 days for many women, without very heavy bleeding, large clots, or intense pain.

Amina said this often reflects balanced hormones and healthy reproductive function.

The final sign she shared was something called a “mini period.”

Only around five per cent of women experience spotting during ovulation.

This light mid-cycle bleeding is known as ovulation spotting or ovulation bleeding.

It can signal that the ovaries are releasing an egg, which marks the prime time for conception.

In the caption, Amina wrote: “How many did you get out of 5? Also, this doesn’t apply to those on the pill.”

Her post quickly resonated with viewers, especially women looking for clearer information about fertility and cycle awareness.

However, Amina made it clear these signs should not replace medical guidance. She emphasised they are general indicators, not a diagnosis.

She advised anyone worried about fertility, or experiencing irregular, painful, or very heavy periods, to see a GP or gynaecologist.

Proper testing is essential rather than relying on symptoms alone.
