"I told him I was in my nightwear."
Pakistani influencer Nafia Sahar has publicly alleged that she was assaulted and harassed by staff at a high-end private hotel in Karachi.
The incident is said to have taken place on August 22, 2026, and Sahar has shared her account through a detailed Instagram post.
She wrote: “Assaulted. Humiliated. Harassed.
“My room lock was broken, I was allegedly assaulted inside my room, and my mobile phones were taken from me.
“I have written my complaint and MLC/medical documentation — yet my FIR is still not being registered.”
The influencer also raised serious concerns about the personal information stored on the devices that she says remain in the hotel’s possession.
She wrote: “As soon as the hotel staff entered, my mobile phones were taken from me and they remain in the hotel’s possession.
“My phones contain personal data, private conversations, photographs and videos, including material relevant to what happened.”
In a video shared on social media, Sahar described the circumstances she said led up to the physical confrontation inside her room:
“I had posted videos of them attempting to break my door, on which I had secured a chain lock.
“The hotel manager, Zain, tried using his master key.
“I tried to tell him that they had turned off the power in my room for the last three hours and I was feeling suffocated.
“On top of that, I told him I was in my nightwear.”
She then described what she alleged occurred after hotel staff broke into her room while she was alone:
“After that, they broke in and started hitting me.
“They hit me very badly for almost two hours.”
“You guys can only imagine that I was alone with five to six people.
“I tried to save myself but could not. I could not even run to the corridor.
“They then dragged me outside of the room to go to the police station.”
Sahar also shared behind-the-scenes footage she said showed hotel staff in the process of attempting to break open her room door.
Her post included a medical report from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre’s accident and emergency department, documenting bruises and injuries.
The medical report was shared publicly by Sahar, though its contents have not been independently verified by any third party.
She also addressed the circumstances surrounding a payment dispute that she said preceded the confrontation inside her hotel room:
“There was a payment dispute happening in which I had asked them to take me to Civil Court, where my legal team will respond. Six hours ago, I was harassed.”
Her account suggests she had been seeking to resolve the financial disagreement through formal legal channels rather than through confrontation.
Despite documenting her injuries and lodging a complaint, Sahar said she faced difficulty in having her FIR officially registered by police.
She said she had spent an entire day at the police station with her medical documentation.
She wrote of having reached out to the DC Office, the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and the Commissioner’s Office in her efforts to secure action.
“Despite this, the police have not registered my FIR.
“I have not received the assistance I urgently need. I feel completely helpless.”
Nafia Sahar’s public account of institutional inaction has drawn significant attention and sympathy from the public.
The hotel has not publicly responded to her allegations as of yet.
