Tamannaah Bhatia has finally broken her silence on the persistent rumour that she married ex-Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq.
Whilst on a TV show, she addressed the speculation with humour and a touch of sarcasm.
Laughing off the bizarre claims, she said: “Mazaak mazaak mein Abdul Razzaq.”
Tamannaah poked fun at the absurdity of it all.
According to her, the rumour is nothing but internet fiction and holds no truth whatsoever.
She jokingly remarked: “According to the internet, I was briefly married to Abdul Razzaq.”
The speculation initially took root in 2020, when an old photograph of her and Abdul went viral.
In the image, both celebrities were seen attending a jewellery store event, which some online users interpreted as evidence of a secret wedding.
Tamannaah, however, says the link is fabricated and even offered a cheeky apology to Abdul during the interview.
She said with folded hands: “I’m sorry sir. You have 2-3 children. I don’t know about your life, but it was so embarrassing.
“It is very strange when you have no relationship with someone and people make up stories.”
Her frustration was evident as she explained how difficult it is to stop false narratives from spreading in today’s digital age.
She concluded: “But in such a situation, we cannot do anything. People just think whatever they want.”
The actress is no stranger to media attention, having been in the headlines previously for her relationship with Vijay Varma.
The two began dating in 2022 after appearing together in Lust Stories 2, but have since parted ways.
Despite ending the relationship, reports suggest the former couple still maintain a cordial friendship.
As for the Abdul Razzaq marriage rumour, Tamannaah has now set the record straight once and for all.
She was also previously linked with cricketer Virat Kohli.
Regarding the rumours, the actress made it clear that she only met him once for a commercial shoot.
The actress continues to handle the spotlight with composure, relying on humour to manage baseless controversies.
With no wedding bells in sight, she seems focused on her career, letting gossip remain just that, gossip.
