"I wanna gift you.”
The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which has been probing the money laundering case against Sukesh Chandrashekhar, recently learnt that his aide Pinky Irani had approached Jacqueline Fernandez.
Pinky Irani is also said to have approached several other actresses including Bhumi Pednekar, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.
The ED exposed Chandrashekhar’s plan to target Bollywood’s female stars and came up with several names from the industry.
After the ED alleged that Chandrashekhar gifted Jacqueline Fernandez numerous gifts, he is now accused of reaching out to other stars.
According to reports, the alleged conman offered a large sum of money to Irani to console Jacqueline after they fought around Valentine’s Day.
He also gifted Jacqueline with a Tiffany diamond ring to propose to her, which was engraved with their initials.
Bhumi Pednekar issued a statement and revealed that Pinky Irani approached her in January 2021.
Pednekar issued a statement and revealed that Sukesh Chandrasekhar informed her:
“Ms Irani must have got in touch with you regarding a few projects and a car that I wanna gift you.”
In May 2021, Sukesh contacted the actress again and introduced himself as Suraj from NE Group and told her that Irani was trying to get in touch with her regarding gifting a car.
Bhumi Pednekar confirmed that she did not receive any gifts from Chandrasekhar or his associates including Pinky Irani.
She also revealed that she has never met or had any sort of personal interaction with any of them.
Sukesh targeted Sara Ali Khan in May 2021.
He introduced himself to the actress by texting her on WhatsApp on May 21, 2021, as Suraj Reddy.
Their conversation continued on WhatsApp and eventually, Sukesh told Sara that he would like to gift her a car as a friendly gesture.
As Suraj Reddy, Sukesh kept sending messages to Sara Ali Khan and insisted on showering her with gifts.
In a letter to the agency, Sara told investigators that she constantly refused Sukesh’s offer.
Meanwhile, on February 16, 2022, Pinky Irani was granted bail by the Delhi Court.
Arrested by the ED on 9 December 2021, Irani was allegedly the link between Sukesh and Jacqueline Fernandez, amongst various other celebrities from the film industry.
