"All of our actresses have become ducks."
Zarnish Khan has said that she is against cosmetic surgery, stating that all Pakistani actresses look like “ducks” after undergoing such procedures.
In an interview on Wajahat Rauf’s Voice Over Man, the Pakistani TV actress was asked to answer some rapid-fire questions.
During the interview, Zarnish was asked for her thoughts on cosmetic surgery.
She stated that she was against the idea before criticising her fellow actresses for undergoing procedures.
Zarnish said: “I’ve never thought about getting my face changed.
“Even if you see me after ten years, I’ll look the same.
“Sorry but I don’t want duck lips. All of our actresses have become ducks. They used to be so beautiful I don’t know what’s happened to them now.”
During the same interview, Zarnish Khan was asked who she thinks is the better dancer, her or Faryal Mehmood.
Zarnish confidently said she would win a dance-off before adding:
“The one thing that has been lacking these days is the grace and resistance involved in dancing.”
Wahajat then asked: “Who would win against Alizeh Shah in a competition to be rude?”
Zarnish replied:
“I think whoever it is against, she [Alizeh] will win.”
The comment attracted a lot of attention as fellow actress Alizeh has been previously accused of being rude to her co-stars.
Naveed Raza had previously said of Alizeh:
“No matter how famous or talented you are, you should never overlook someone’s seniority and respect.
“What’s happening in your personal life should not be brought to the sets. It is a workplace.”
However, Zarnish’s comments drew criticism from model Mathira who called for people to stop “targeting” Alizeh.
Mathira said: “She is a kid, stop targeting her so much, not cool man!
“We don’t know what Alizeh is going through, just give the poor child a break. When will people learn.”
Zarnish Khan and Alizeh Shah previously starred together in the show Jo Tu Chahey.
Zarnish is best known for her role of Alizeh in Susraal Mera.
Her latest shows include Aitebaar and Yeh Ishq Samajh Na Aaye.
She previously criticised Aitebaar after her character escaped an attempted rape, only to come home to a husband who shouted at her instead of believing and comforting her.
However, social media users criticised her, saying she should have stood up to the director or writer and gotten the scene changed instead of going through with it.
