"Smack her, smack her!"
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, thousands of protestors gathered in London for a rally in the name of Tommy Robinson.
Robinson is a prominent UK activist with far-right political beliefs and has been known to campaign heavily against non-white people being in the UK.
Officially named Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon, Robinson held the rally in Stamford Street.
This demonstration came after right-wing individuals clashed with anti-racism activists over asylum seekers housed in hotels.
‘Operation Raise The Colours’ has also led to the St George’s flag being painted on roundabouts and hoisted on lampposts across the UK.
A questionable video clip went viral on social media from the rally.
The clip showed a South Asian woman allegedly being chased away by people at the protest.
These people were heard shouting after the woman.
South Asian people can include individuals from Indian, Pakistani, Bengladeshi, and Sri Lankan backgrounds.
The short clip showed a woman running down the street while the people screamed:
“What are you doing?”
The woman shouted back: “I was born in this country!”
They shrieked: “Do you f***ing love your country then?”
A voice then said: “Smack her, smack her!”

Although the clip’s message contained racial tones, its authenticity caused questions from netizens.
This was because the woman being chased appeared to have a smirk on her face, which suggested to some users that she had aggravated people.
One user said: “She was running away with a smirk as if she’d done something.
“What did she do to antagonise them?”
Another person wrote: “She clearly antagonised them.
“They clearly don’t care about her race. They told her to love her country.
“She was probably telling him how racist the UK is or something along those lines.”
However, some people highlighted the racial message of the clip.
One person said: “Unacceptable behaviour. We love our country.
“This country is ours just as it everyone else’s.
“Diversity is strength. There is only one group that doesn’t think so.”
A TikTok clip was also posted to X showing a woman detailing her experiences at the rally.
The woman, of ethnic minority, spoke positively about the protests.
The account that posted the clip wrote: “Now to the truth of the matter.”
In the video, the woman said: “I went to the Tommy Robinson protest on September 13 and it was fine.
“I went by myself and I went straight to the belly of the beast and I saw nothing but peaceful people.
“I was never going to be afraid because I grew up with English people. I grew up with white people.
“They have been nothing but polite and respectful.
“A lot of minority cultures for them have become the predominant culture in areas of the UK, to the point that these towns and cities become unrecognisable.
“British people flee because they no longer feel a sense of connection or identity to these towns and cities.
“You wouldn’t want to lose what it means to be black.
“We all love our culture and ethnicity, and it’s the same for white people.”

The Tommy Robinson rally also saw police officers getting injured.
This led the UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, to condemn the violence upon the police. In a statement, he said:
“People have a right to peaceful protest.”
“It is core to our country’s values.
“But we will not stand for assaults on police officers doing their job or for people feeling intimidated on our streets because of their background or the colour of their skin.
“Britain is a nation proudly built on tolerance, diversity and respect.
“Our flag represents our diverse country and we will never surrender it to those that use it as a symbol of violence, fear and division.”
