"Working on this film has been a true career highlight"

Simone Ashley and Kendall Jenner recreated The Devil Wears Prada in its collaboration with L’Oréal Paris.

The advert, created with 20th Century Studios, premiered during the 2026 Oscars ceremony and is part of a larger campaign ahead of the sequel’s May 1 release.

It reimagines the iconic Runway Magazine office with Simone and Kendall at the centre of the chaos.

The spot centres on a case of mistaken identity, with Kendall entering Runway’s office with confidence and being mistaken for a candidate competing to be Miranda Priestly’s next assistant.

The advert also offers a first look at Simone Ashley’s Amari, who is one of Miranda Priestly’s newest assistants in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The confusion is soon resolved.

Simone and Kendall continue their day inside the fashion publication.

The advert also features an appearance from Karan Soni, who is left disappointed after his blunder.

Kendall said: “Spending the day at the Runway office was honestly so much fun.

“I got to live my dream walking past that iconic reception, and what made it even more special was getting to experience it alongside my L’Oréal Paris family.

“I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Stating that the project marked a major moment in her career, Simone said:

“Working on this film has been a true career highlight, and bringing it further to life with this spot with L’Oréal Paris has been so much fun.

“I loved working with both the L’Oréal Paris and Disney teams, and can’t wait for The Devil Wears Prada fans to see what we created.”

Laura Branik, brand president of L’Oréal Paris, said the partnership aligns with the film’s legacy:

“Teaming up with The Devil Wears Prada 2 lets us show up in a moment that defines beauty and pop culture, and at a scale that matches the legacy of the film.

“Launching this collaboration on Oscars night, with a spot that pays homage to the story and brings together our global ambassadors, is a meaningful way to reinforce what L’Oréal Paris stands for –  celebrating women who set the standard, on screen and in real life.”

Lylle Breier, of The Walt Disney Company, added:

“Confidence, glamour, and humour are at the heart of The Devil Wears Prada 2.”

“We are delighted to collaborate with L’Oréal Paris to celebrate the release of the new film in such a stylish and fun way.”

The film’s presence extended onto the Oscars stage when Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour presented awards together, referencing the original film.

In a scripted moment, Anne Hathaway asked for Anna Wintour’s opinion on her outfit, only to be dismissed with, “Thank you Emily”, echoing the name of Miranda Priestly’s overworked assistant.
