Sidhu Moosewala has announced that he has new music on the way.
In a recent Instagram live session, Sidhu Moosewala answered questions put forward by viewers.
The Punjabi singer made huge announcements regarding his upcoming projects.
He discussed new music, the status of Moosetape Deluxe and the release of his song ‘Rebirth’.
Sidhu also mentioned his debut film as a lead actor, Moosa Jatt.
To the dismay of fans, the artist made it clear in his Instagram live that the highly-anticipated Moosetape Deluxe album is not coming.
He said: “The full album Moosetape has been released and there will be nothing more to it.”
Released in May 2021, Sidhu’s second studio album Moosetape received high praise from fans.
Moosetape featured many artists including Tion Wayne, Stefflon Don, Raja Kumari and Sikander Kahlon.
A bonus track was also released in May 2021, ‘Unf**kwithable’ featuring Afsana Khan.
Sidhu is known for songs such as ‘So High’ and ‘Bambiha Bole’.
His debut album PBX 1 peaked at 66 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.
A few minutes later in the live session, a fan asked about the probable release of ‘Rebirth’.
‘Rebirth’ is a track that has been awaited by Sidhu Moosewala fans for a long time.
Just like Moosetape Deluxe, Sidhu announced that ‘Rebirth’ is not going to be released.
Moosetape Deluxe and ‘Rebirth’ were two of the most awaited projects of the artist.
However, Sidhu quickly reassured fans that new music is on the way.
Sidhu made it clear that once his debut film Moosa Jatt is released, a long list of singles will also be released.
The live session proved to be heartbreaking for some fans whilst others felt excited at the announcement of new music.
Directed by Khushpal Singh and Dilsher Singh, Moosa Jatt is expected to be released on October 1, 2021.
Sidhu Moosewala is expected to play a lead role alongside Punjabi singer and actress Sweetaj Brar.
During the Instagram live, Sidhu also provided an insight into the film.
He revealed that the film is based on the life of a farmer.
As revealed by Sidhu in the live session, the film will be farmer-centric, highlighting the hardships faced by farmers in their lives.
The first song from Moosa Jatt, ‘Jailaan’ was released in September 2021. The track was written, composed and sung by Sidhu Moosewala.
Meanwhile, the musician became the first Indian artist to perform at Wireless in September 2021.
He made a surprise appearance and performed ‘47’ alongside UK rapper MIST and world-renowned music producer Steel Banglez.
