This may have been due to the pregnancy.
The parents of Sidhu Moose Wala are expecting another child.
Family sources confirmed that Charan Kaur successfully underwent IVF treatment. The baby is due in March 2024.
Fifty-eight-year-old Charan had been out of the public eye for six months.
This may have been due to the pregnancy.
Sidhu had been their only child but was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district in May 2022.
Reportedly, six gunmen opened fire when he, along with his cousin and friend, were out in a jeep.
His death continues to be investigated, with the Punjab Police naming 32 suspects, including notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.
Twenty-five have been arrested so far.
In Mansa, a candle march was organised in Sidhu’s memory.
His fans and supporters gathered in Moosa village to seek “justice” for him. The march was also attended by Sidhu’s mother.
Prayers were held at a gurdwara in Jawahar Ke village in remembrance of the late singer.
In 2022, Diljit Dosanjh spoke about Sidhu Moose Wala’s parents and how they must be suffering after their son’s death.
He also discussed how artists have been killed in the past whilst blaming the government for their inefficiency.
Speaking about Sidhu and Deep Sidhu, who died in a car accident, Diljit said at the time:
“All of them worked hard. I don’t think an artiste can do anything wrong to anyone, I am talking about my own experience.
“I don’t agree with it. There could be nothing between him and someone else. So why would anyone kill someone else? This is a very sad thing.
“Even talking about it is so difficult.
“Think about it, you have just one child and he dies. His father and mother, how would they be living with it?”
“You cannot imagine what they are going through, only they know it.”
Sidhu Moose Wala’s legacy continues to live on, with several tracks released posthumously.
The latest is ‘Drippy‘, featuring Mxrci and AR Paisley.
Taking inspiration from various genres, ‘Drippy’ blends drill, hip-hop and traditional Punjabi folk tunes.
It debuted in the top 10 of the Canadian Hot 100.
For his parents, it is heavily speculated that his father Balkaur Singh could be a contender for the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat.
However, he had said nothing would change if he entered politics.
Meanwhile, Charan Kaur has been supporting the ongoing farmers’ protest on social media.
She also called for justice after young farmer Shubhkaran Singh was killed at the Khanauri border.
