“Punjab comes first.”
Sidhu Moose Wala’s ‘Signed to God’ hologram tour has been postponed following protests in Punjab over the murder of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota.
The late Punjabi singer’s father, Balkaur Singh, announced that the remaining shows in Canada and the United States would be put on hold.
The decision comes amid growing public anger following Jhota’s death in Mansa, Punjab, on October 13, 2026.
Balkaur said the situation in Punjab had taken priority over the family’s international commitments.
The announcement affects fans who were expecting to attend the upcoming concerts celebrating Moose Wala’s musical legacy.
According to The Tribune, Balkaur confirmed the postponement in a social media statement, stressing that Punjab and his constituency, Mansa, remained his priorities.
He said: “Punjab comes first.”
The remaining tour dates included a performance in Calgary, Canada, on October 19, followed by shows in the United States.
The scheduled US dates included Belmont Park in New York on October 23, Houston on October 30 and Oakland on November 6.
Balkaur apologised to fans who had planned to attend the upcoming performances. He also expressed hope that the tour could return with an improved presentation of his son’s music.
The Toronto and Vancouver shows had already taken place, with both performances reported to have sold out.
The ‘Signed to God’ tour was created to bring Moose Wala’s stage presence back to audiences through holographic technology.
The production combines three-dimensional projections with his original vocals, cinematic visuals, and stage effects to recreate elements of his performances.
The tour launched in Toronto on October 9, 2026, attracting fans eager to experience the late singer’s music in a new format.
His music continues to attract audiences worldwide, with tracks such as ‘295’ remaining popular among Punjabi music fans.
The postponement follows widespread protests demanding justice for Jhota, whose killing has prompted reactions from several figures in the Punjabi entertainment industry.
Punjabi actress Neeru Bajwa has also put her film Thaapi on hold amid the public anger surrounding the case.
The developments have highlighted how the ongoing situation in Punjab is affecting cultural and entertainment commitments.
Fans awaiting the remaining hologram performances will now have to wait for further updates about the tour’s future dates.
The postponement leaves fans waiting for further announcements, as the focus remains on Punjab’s ongoing protests and the family’s efforts to support the community.
