Sidharth Shukla & Shehnaaz Gill in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remake?

Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill are immensely popular thanks to their chemistry.

It is a possibility that fans may see them together on-screen if the popular show Kumkum Bhagya gets a reboot.

The chemistry between Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia made the show a hit with fans.

But the credit goes to Kumkum Bhagya‘s casting director, Shadman Khan, who is a renowned name in the casting world.

He is responsible for casting Sriti and Shabir as Pragya and Abhi.

Shadman has also done casting for other shows like Half Marriage, Yeh Hai Chahtein, Laal Ishq and many more.

He has now opened up on the possibility of a Kumkum Bhagya remake.

Shadman revealed that if that happens, he would like to cast Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill in the lead roles.

He told TellyChakkar: “I would love to cast Sidharth and Shehnaaz if Kumkum Bhagya plans on a sequel or reboot with a different cast, as their personalities match the characters Abhi and Pragya.”

Shehnaaz has a bubbly personality while Sidharth is known for his risk-taking attitude.

Shadman also revealed how difficult it can be when it comes to casting the right person for a particular character.

He said that casting for a web show is more challenging than for TV and films.

Shadman explained that this is because web series tend to focus more on realistic characters rather than the glamorous side of it.

The newest project Shadman has been involved in is the ZEE5 web series Nail Polish.

The show stars Arjun Rampal and is directed by Bugs Bhargava Krishna. It is a legal thriller that explores the uncertainty of the human mind.

Shadman expressed that he is happy with the casting choices of the show.

He is currently casting for several TV shows and a web series that are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill achieved popularity in Bigg Boss 13.

Since leaving the reality show, they have gone on to do numerous projects.

Sidharth is coming off his OTT debut as Agastya Rao in Broken But Beautiful opposite Sonia Rathee. He joined the show’s third season.

Shehnaaz has appeared in various music videos, including one with popular Hip-Hop artist Badshah.

She is now awaiting the release of her Punjabi film Honsla Rakh.

Shehnaaz stars in the film alongside Diljit Dosanjh and it releases on October 15, 2021.
