"My husband Yahya Siddiqui has passed away."

Shagufta Ejaz is currently grappling with profound grief following the passing of her husband Yahya Siddiqui.

Yahya had valiantly fought against cancer for five years, receiving treatment at a private medical facility.

The heartbreaking news was officially confirmed by Shagufta on Instagram.

The post featured a touching photograph of her late husband.

She captioned the post: “My husband Yahya Siddiqui has passed away. Kindly recite surah Fatiha for his forgiveness.”

Yahya’s health struggles were widely known in the entertainment industry and his death elicited a flood of condolences from admirers and colleagues.

In a bittersweet moment, Shagufta and Yahya had recently marked their wedding anniversary in hospital.

This poignant gesture resonated deeply with fans, addressing some of the public scrutiny Shagufta had encountered regarding her Dubai trip in August 2024.

Shagufta had bravely confronted social media backlash concerning her international travels.

In a vlog, she addressed the accusations that she was enjoying a holiday on her husband’s money while he was in hospital.

Shagufta Ejaz shared that she was there to arrange money to pay for her husband’s medical bills.

She firmly stood against baseless accusations and asserted her resolve never to forgive those who propagated falsehoods.

The actress said: “I came here to get it restored (her bank account) because I needed money.

“Secondly, I had to sell my bags and had to collect money, one of the tasks has been completed and the other one is still pending.”

The couple, blessed with two daughters of their own, had also blended their families.

Each had brought children from previous marriages into their lives.
