"He feels Mouni would be a better candidate for this racy track."
It looks like Salman Khan has selected Mouni Roy instead of Sunny Leone to be a part of Dabangg 3, for the item song.
In the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise, which has proven to be a hit in Bollywood, the choice of actress for the item song is always a special one.
Filming has begun for the third film in the Dabangg series in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, in which Salman Khan plays the lead role.
Salman took to Twitter to announce the first day of filming. The actor posted a picture alongside renowned film choreographer and the film’s director Prabhu Deva with the caption “Day 1”.
Salman, who plays Chulbul Pandey, has become popular for his intense action scenes in Dabangg and the item song numbers, always add a different kind of masala.
Malaika Arora danced in ‘Munni Badnaam’ while Kareena Kapoor Khan performed on ‘Fevicol Se’ in the first and second movies respectively.
Both of the item number performances were a massive hit among the audience and topped the charts.
It was rumoured that Sunny Leone and Mouni Roy were both being considered to be a part of Dabangg 3‘s item sequence.
While the filmmakers are unsure about who will star in the special number, a source, who referred to Salman as Bhai, has claimed that the actor has revealed his preferred choice.
A source close to the film’s production said:
“Initially, Arbaaz [Khan] and director Prabhu Deva felt Sunny Leone would be an apt choice for the pulsating number in Dabangg 3.
“However, Salman wasn’t too keen on the idea. He feels Mouni would be a better candidate for this racy track.
“She’s gorgeous and has nimble feet to pull off this special song in which Bhai himself will also feature.”
Salman has been active on social media about his Dabangg 3 journey so far.
He filmed the title track of the film ‘Hud Dabangg’ as Chulbul on the ghats of the river Narmada. He took to Twitter to share a still from the song.
