Sabila Nur has confirmed that she is no longer part of Mehedi Hassan Hridoy’s upcoming film Rakkhosh.

This comes after weeks of speculation about her next big-screen role.

Previously, there was a growing buzz that the popular star was set to appear opposite Siam Ahmed in the psychological thriller.

Rakkhosh is going to be directed by Mehedi, who also helmed Borbaad.

At the same time, reports also revealed that Sabila had been cast in Tanim Noor’s much-anticipated film Bonolota Express, which stars Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, and Shariful Razz.

Both projects are scheduled to begin filming in December 2025.

This sparked intense speculation that Sabila might attempt to manage both commitments simultaneously.

However, the actress has now clarified that she stepped down from Rakkhosh to dedicate herself entirely to one project.

Speaking to the media, Sabila shared that she was equally excited about both roles.

However, overlapping schedules made it impossible to give her best to each.

She explained: “I had been in talks with Tanim bhai about Bonolota Express for quite some time.”

Sabila added: “Meanwhile, discussions about Rakkhosh also progressed, but when I realised both would shoot at the same time, I had to make a choice.”

The actress added that both directors were understanding of her situation and encouraged her to decide freely based on what felt right.

“I felt it would be unfair to either team if I couldn’t give full focus, so I decided to concentrate on one character.”

Mehedi Hassan confirmed Sabila’s exit and revealed that the team is already in the process of finalising her replacement.

He shared: “We’ve spoken with a few actresses and expect to confirm the new lead before shooting begins in December.”

Despite stepping away from Rakkhosh, Sabila’s upcoming role in Bonolota Express is being viewed as one of her most ambitious yet.

The ensemble cast and the film’s emotional narrative are expected to provide the actress with a challenging and layered character.

Her recent performance opposite Shakib Khan in Taandob earned widespread acclaim.

It further cemented her position as one of the most sought-after stars in Dhallywood.

While Rakkhosh continues preparations for a new lead, fans are now eagerly awaiting Bonolota Express.

The film promises to mark another milestone in Sabila Nur’s evolving film career.
