"She is over four months pregnant"
Rubina Dilaik is reportedly pregnant and will give birth in early 2024.
Pregnancy rumours first came to light after she was spotted outside a building that had a maternity clinic.
Rubina’s Instagram posts also prompted interest as many said she appeared to display a baby bump.
Rubina later dismissed the rumours, saying:
“As a public figure, I am aware that rumours and speculations keep happening. I know that I can’t do much about it so I don’t bother myself with these things.
“No rumour affects me, whether it is work or my personal life.
“We have exposed our lives as public figures for people to have their discretion, so it is absolutely okay.
“I continue doing my work and I let people keep guessing and assuming.”
Despite her denial, it has been reported that she is actually over four months pregnant.
A source told Hindustan Times: “It is true that Rubina and Abhinav are expecting their first baby.
“She is over four months pregnant and will deliver early next year. They are very happy and excited to embrace motherhood.”
Rubina Dilaik and her husband Abhinav Shukla have been private about their personal life and the source stated “they want to keep the pregnancy away from the spotlight, and enjoy this new phase of their life in privacy”.
The source added: “In fact, staying away from the glare was one of the reasons she decided to go to the US for a long vacation.”
Meanwhile, another source claimed Rubina was offered a role in a TV show but she turned it down due to her pregnancy.
The source said: “She’s more than four months pregnant. She was earlier confirmed for a fiction show on TV but later she refused owing to health issues.
“Another reason is that she wants to enjoy this phase of her life.”
At the moment, “they are enjoying a private life. Currently they are also refusing to meet their friends as well”.
On the work front, Rubina is gearing up for her debut Punjabi film Chal Bhajj Chaliye.
Revealing that she has long desired to go into Punjabi cinema, Rubina said:
“I was looking for the right opportunity and script, and this film happened to be the one.
“It is a comedy-drama, and that’s what attracted me to it. I loved the lightheartedness and humour that spices up the film along the way. I had a great time shooting the Punjabi songs.”
