Rubina Dilaik and her husband Abhinav Shukla officially announced the arrival of their daughters, a month after their birth.
The couple took to Instagram to share the first picture of their daughters.
For several days, there has been a mystery surrounding Rubina’s pregnancy.
Fans speculated that Rubina had already given birth, however, the couple did not address the matter.
But on Instagram, Rubina revealed that her daughters are one month old. She also shared that the twins were named Jeeva and Edhaa.
She wrote: “Excited and extremely happy to share that our daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa are one-month-old today.
“Universe blessed us on the auspicious day of Gurpurab! Send in your wishes for our angels.”
Rubina and Abhinav were pictured cradling one daughter each while another photo featured a puja ceremony to mark the occasion.
Aly Goni posted love heart emojis while Shardul Pandit wrote:
“Daughters are the best.”
One fan wrote: “May the universe always protect them and give them all the happiness and good health.”
Another commented: “Beautiful names too.”
There had been speculation surrounding Rubina Dilaik and whether she was pregnant.
Pregnancy rumours first came to light after she was spotted outside a building that had a maternity clinic. In August 2023, she dismissed the rumours, saying:
“As a public figure, I am aware that rumours and speculations keep happening. I know that I can’t do much about it so I don’t bother myself with these things.
“No rumour affects me, whether it is work or my personal life.
“We have exposed our lives as public figures for people to have their discretion, so it is absolutely okay.
“I continue doing my work and I let people keep guessing and assuming.”
However, she later confirmed her pregnancy on her podcast Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi.
In November 2023, Rubina said:
“Today’s episode is dedicated to all the mothers who are carrying more than one baby.
“This is a dedicated episode to all the mumma’s out there, who have faced the challenges or are facing the challenges of carrying twins, triplets or any multiple pregnancies.
“I wish to share with you we are expecting twins.”
Recalling Abhinav’s reaction, Rubina explained:
“When we got to know about it first that we are blessed with twins, I still remember Abhinav’s reaction.
“We saw it during the ultrasound and he’s like no way! I said yeah, that’s the truth. He’s like no, no, no way! I told him that that’s what the doctor is saying.
“As soon as we stepped out of the clinic and while we were going back home, we did not talk to each other the entire way. We were not able to digest the good news.”
