After a thrilling series, India’s Next Top Model (INTM) 3 has come to an end as Riya Subodh wins the title of ‘Top Model’!

On 16th December 2017, the season finale aired on MTV India with Riya and her competitors Sabita Karki and Shweta Raj all hoping to become the victor.

While the 20-year-old takes home the glory, Sabita and Shweta are second and third runner-ups.

This year, INTM aimed to be bolder and bigger than ever before with its theme of “Fashion gets tough”. And it certainly proved this with a variety of challenging tasks for the models.

From going underwater to indulging in chocolate baths for photo shoots, the judges kept the contestants on their toes.

For the finale, the remaining three got the amazing opportunity to shoot for the OPPO 2018 calendar.

They looked spectacular as they wore stunning outfits that matched to a khaki theme. In particular, Riya stood out with a white co-ord of a bralette and long skirt, decorated with floral patterns.

Afterwards, the show took a sentimental turn as the next photo shoot involved their family members! Shweta and Riya got the chance to create a fun, loving family portrait.

However, Sabita’s parents were unable to make it. But judges Neeraj Gaba and Anusha Dandekar stepped in to help her create special photos.

On the runway, the models sizzled in flawless, white gowns as part of their final looks. However, Riya became the one to win INTM 3!

Throughout the series, she embarked on an enduring journey to became the ‘Top Model’. Prior to the show, she had little modelling experience compared to the other girls. While she encountered some initial setbacks, Riya persevered and wowed fans with her photo shoots.

Speaking after her win, Riya told reporters:

India’s Next Top Model is a lifetime experience for me. I am saying this because from all the contestants, I was the only one who had no experience of the big fashion world in big cities like Mumbai.

“As I look back, I must say that this wouldn’t have been possible without my parent’s support, and a special thanks to the makers of the show who gave me the new identity of a model.”

The 20-year-old also recounted some of her favourite tasks from the show:

“The biggest highlight for me was the photoshoot with Milind Sir and Malaika Ma’am. When I decided to take part in India’s Next Top Model, I knew that this show is going to change my life forever so when judges announced my name as the winner I had all the memories coming back.”

As the series now finishes, Riya joins the impressive line-up of INTM winners, which includes Danielle Canute and Pranati Prakash.
