"He's always been a creep."

The celebrity reality series Lock Upp Season 2 has sparked significant controversy within its first few episodes.

Contestants have already gotten into major conflicts and extremely tense exchanges on the reality show.

The latest row centres on Ram Kapoor, 52, after he kissed fellow prisoner Varun Yadav recently.

Varun Yadav, also known as Laila, is 25 years old and much younger than Ram.

The incident took place when Ram and Varun were sitting in the garden area together.

Several other competitors were present and discussing their personal lives and various relationships at that time.

Ram spoke about getting married and starting a family during his 30s.

Varun said that Ram later cheated on his partner during his 40s

Those around them, including Sunita Ahuja and Akanksha Chamola, were left shocked by what happened.

Ram then grabbed Varun’s face and kissed him directly on the lips without warning.

The moment drew a sharp reaction online from viewers watching the reality show episode.

One user wrote: “Lock Upp Season 2 (Ep 4): Ram Kapoor (52) forcefully kissed Laila (Varun Yadav, much younger, almost half his age).

“Laila is portrayed as innocent and didn’t protest or say anything.

“Shame on him for misusing his position and age; no right to kiss without clear consent.

“Unacceptable behaviour. Consent matters regardless of the show’s drama.”

Another user added: “Ram Kapoor basically sexually assaulted Varun. The show is lame asf.”

A third person wrote: “He’s always been a creep.”

Another viewer questioned: “Did Ram Kapoor literally kiss Laila? What’s going on?”

Many users felt that Ram’s actions constituted sexual assault given the power dynamics involved.

The age difference between Ram and Varun became a focal point of criticism.

The episode came shortly after another contentious exchange involving Ram with another contestant.

In the previous episode, he said that nothing is a dealbreaker in love entirely.

He justified adultery in a marriage during this discussion with fellow competitors present.

During an argument with fellow contestant Akanksha Chamola, Ram expressed his personal philosophy:

“If you really love your partner, nothing is a dealbreaker. Marriage is hard, and it’s a journey.

“You have to work at your marriage every day. There are highs and lows, good periods and bad periods, strong phases and weak phases.

“In a bad phase, if by mistake something happens, and you can’t live without your partner or your children, then time heals everything, and nothing is a dealbreaker.

His comments about affairs in marriages drew criticism from viewers and fellow contestants.

Combined with the kissing incident, Ram Kapoor’s behaviour has raised serious questions about his character.

The show, officially titled Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, features 15 celebrities as participants.

The contestants include actors, influencers and reality TV stars competing in various challenges.
