“She was not at all happy with her track on the show"
Indian actress Rajeshwari Sachdev is reportedly quitting the popular drama series Shaadi Mubarak.
Sachdev played the role of Kusum Kothari in the show.
According to a Times of India report, the actress has left Shaadi Mubarak due to not being happy with her ongoing storyline.
She has also given the same reason to the makers of the show.
The current storyline shows that Rajeshwari Sachdev’s character as the close friend of Preeti.
According to sources, this is a huge hint to fans that Sachdev will not be returning to the show.
However, the show’s makers are not yet looking to replace her.
Speaking of Sachdev’s decision to quit, a source said:
“She was not at all happy with her track on the show and had tried to tell the makers about the same on several occasions.
“In fact, she has not been coming on the set for the past month and has not been shooting.
“She was quite upset because of her character not shaping up the way it was told to her.”
Rajeshwari Sachdev has been part of many hit television shows and has been entertaining audiences for some time in her role as Kusum Kothari.
Not wanting to reveal many details about her decision to quit Shaadi Mubarak, Sachdev simply said:
“I have taken a break from the show for some time.”
However, the actress has revealed a way in which she plans to spend her free time.
Rajeshwari Sachdev often goes live on her Instagram account with her husband Varun Badola.
The pair sing together, and Sachdev also says that music sessions will be more frequent following her decision to quit Shaadi Mubarak.
Sachdev said: “Now that I have time, Varun and I will be more live with our musical nights.
“Mostly they are done without any prior planning. It is completely impromptu as we both love singing together.
“I am glad that people on our social media handles too are liking our jugalbandi.”
Rajeshwari Sachdev is not the first Shaadi Mubarak actress to quit the show since its premiere in August 2020.
In October 2020, the show’s lead actor Rajshree Thakur made the decision to step down.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shaadi Mubarak’s producer Shashi Mittal confirmed that they parted ways on an amicable note.
The show brought in Porus actor Rati Pandey to play the role of Preeti Jindal.
