These groups were working at the behest of them.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at two places in the town of Muktsar, Punjab, one of those belonging to gangster Goldy Brar.
It was reported that NIA officers visited Brar’s residence on Kotkapura Road.
They also raided the residence of a shoe-shop owner.
NIA officers were accompanied by the local police and they asked for the details of a mobile phone number from the homeowners.
The family told them that they had not used the phone number for the past four years.
The raids were part of 60 raids across India at premises belonging to gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Kala Jathedi, Bambaiya and Kaushal Chaudhary.
NIA sources said that the Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gangs have connections to Canada-based Khalistani groups and Pakistan-based ISI agents.
These groups were working at the behest of them.
A house belonging to Tillu Tajpuriya in Alipur, Delhi, was also being searched.
Raids were also been carried out in Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab.
The NIA had been looking to take action against Bishnoi, Kapil Sangwan and Neeraj Bawana, and their aides. The Home Ministry had asked the NIA to uproot their entire network as they were involved in targeted killings.
The NIA prepared a dossier and got permission from the Home Ministry to initiate action against these gangsters’ operations.
Gangsters based in Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have been on the NIA’s radar.
An NIA official said: “They are involved in targeted killings and are persuading the youths to join the gangs.”
According to officials, Neeraj Bawana and Lawrence Bishnoi are enemies.
Following the death of Sidhu Moose Wala, Bawana said he would take revenge against the Bishnoi gang.
The gangsters operating in the capital have reportedly formed two ‘Mahagathbandhans’ in order to run their crime groups smoothly. They are trying to set up a pan-India network.
An official said: “In Neeraj Bawana’s Mahagathbandhan there are Saurabh alias Gaurav, Suvegh Singh alias Sibbu, Subham Baliyan, Rakesh alias Raka, Irfan alias Chhenu, Ravi Gangwal and Rohit Chaudhary and the Davinder Bambiha gang.”
Meanwhile, Bishnoi’s gang has Sandeep alias Kala Jatehdi, Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu, Rohit Moi, Deepak Boxer, Prince Tewtia, Rajesh Bawania and Ashok Pradhan.
Both groups have been causing chaos across various states and getting involved in gang wars.
An NIA official said: “Their aides are controlling the Punjabi music industry and extorting money from them.
“They are also threatening the Kabaddi and Kho-Kho players.”
