In an extraordinary display of fandom, a massive Taylor Swift fan has etched his name into the Guinness World Record book.
Bilal Ilyas Jhandir successfully identified the most Taylor Swift songs from their lyrics in just one minute.
The self-proclaimed “die-hard fan” achieved 34 songs, surpassing the previous record of 27.
Bilal said: “I have been listening to Taylor Swift since my childhood.
“I have listened to each and every song of hers. I can identify almost any song of hers from the lyrics.”
Bilal proudly shared this with Guinness World Records, highlighting his profound connection with Taylor Swift’s music.
To accomplish this remarkable feat, Bilal had to recognise Swift’s songs solely from their opening lyrics.
These were merely read aloud by a man without any accompanying music.
Despite already being well-versed in the lyrics of all her songs, he dedicated an astounding 13 weeks to extensive preparation.
His commitment even extended to reciting Swift’s lyrics in his sleep.
Reflecting on his preparation, Bilal characterised the record-breaking attempt as “an easy task”.
However, he acknowledged that the challenge was made more difficult as the lyrics were spoken by a man rather than sung by Swift.
Bilal Ilyas described this effort as the “best way on Earth” to express his “extraordinary love” for Taylor Swift.
His dedication to the pop sensation could be seen as he gushed over her.

Taylor herself recently clinched a Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing music tour with her Eras Tour.
He enthused:
“The thing I like the most about her is her way of writing out-of-this-world songs that always hit the bottom of my heart.”
“The authenticity in her songwriting, the emotional depth in her lyrics, and her ability to connect with listeners on a personal level are all the things that I admire most about Taylor Swift.”
Before achieving this record, Bilal had already secured three other world records.
In 2021, he identified the most animals from their sounds in one minute.
In 2023, he identified the most Justin Bieber songs from their lyrics in the same time frame.
But his new record is his most cherished:
“This record is my favourite of all of them. Being called a ‘Certified Swiftie’ or ‘Officially Amazing Swiftie’ is such an incredible feeling.”
Notably, Bilal is currently a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
He declared Folklore to be an absolute masterpiece, easily naming it as his favourite album.
