DIVINE started as an underground rapper and gained popularity following the release of ‘Yeh Mera Bombay’. His big break came in 2015 with ‘Mere Gully Mein’, featuring Naezy.
His and Naezy’s lives ended up serving as the inspiration for Zoya Akhtar’s hit film Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh.
The announcement of his tour comes a week after his collaboration track with Karan Aujla, ‘100 Million‘, was released.
The song’s description reads: “100 Million’ is an ode to the unparalleled success achieved by DIVINE and Karan Aujla.
“This track not only celebrates their achievements but also stands as an anthem, for those with grand dreams.
“As they savour the fruits of their labour, the artists reflect on the enduring habits that propelled them to the pinnacle.
“Fuelled by explosive bars and bravado, this track marks the inception of a collaborative project between the two industry titans.”
Karan said: “This is an exciting time for the Indian music scene and it was cool working with DIVINE on this song and project that shows our journey and growth as artists over the years.
“DIVINE is crazy talented and I’m really happy with what we made when we linked up.”
“It’s my gift to all my fans on my birthday, who have always been with me from the start.”
DIVINE added: “Karan is amongst the most talented songwriters and artists of our generation and we really hit it off creatively when we met in the studio.
“We both share similarities in our journeys growing up and coming up, this one’s for the streets and for our fans!
“Rupan Bal and his team did an incredible job on the video, much love to them!”
