Nick Jonas has revealed that ‘Tauba Tauba’ is the Bollywood track that gets him straight onto the dance floor at weddings.
The American singer made the admission during a recent interview while promoting his upcoming film Power Ballad alongside Paul Rudd.
He was speaking to ETalk when he was asked about the one song that never fails to pull him to the dance floor.
The singer began his answer by acknowledging a few timeless crowd favourites that tend to dominate wedding playlists across the world.
He said: “There are these classics like Celebrations and We Are Family.”
Nick then added: “I also love Tauba Tauba from Vicky Kaushal’s movie. It’s a great song.”
The admission resonated widely, given that ‘Tauba Tauba’ had already established itself as one of the biggest viral tracks of 2024.
The song was part of the Bollywood film Bad Newz and was sung, written and composed entirely by Punjabi singer Karan Aujla.
It featured Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri and took over social media almost immediately after its release earlier that year.
Fans across the world had widely recreated Vicky Kaushal’s signature dance moves from the music video, helping the song travel far beyond India.
The fact that Nick Jonas was among those captivated by the track only cemented its status as a genuine global cultural moment.
This is far from the first time the singer has publicly declared his deep and genuine affection for Bollywood and Hindi film music.
He has spoken about his love for Indian music on multiple occasions.
More recently, Nick sent social media into a warm frenzy with a clip he posted from Singapore during Art Week 2026.
In the video, he was seen thoroughly enjoying a dosa at a breakfast buffet while a very specific Bollywood track played in the background.
The song was ‘Teri Dulhan Sajaoongi’, a track from Barsaat that happens to feature his wife Priyanka Chopra as one of the lead voices.
Sharing the clip, he wrote: “When they have dosa at the breakfast buffet. This song hits.”
The post went viral almost instantly, with fans reacting warmly and enthusiastically to the delightful combination of Indian food and Bollywood nostalgia.
Priyanka Chopra herself has spoken about just how deeply Nick Jonas has embraced Bollywood music as part of his everyday life.
