Bangladeshi model Nibir Adnan has stepped into the world of cinema with his debut film Esha Murder, releasing this Eid.
Directed by Sunny Sanwar, the crime thriller marks a striking shift in Nibir’s career.
The model is long known for his decade-spanning dominance on fashion runways in Bangladesh and abroad.
Esha Murder is inspired by a chilling real-life murder case.
Nibir appears in a grounded, intense role that contrasts with his usual glamorous image.
Ahead of the release, the film’s first song, ‘Tomake Chai’, dropped on June 3, 2025.
Sung by Imran and Konal with lyrics by Robiul Islam Jibon, the video features Nibir opposite Puja Agnes Cruze.
Nibir previously hinted at a potential film career when he appeared opposite Pooja Banerjee in the 2022 music video ‘Chol Ratke Kori Bhor’.
It was directed by Baba Yadav under TM Records. That performance showcased his cinematic appeal and left fans curious for more.
Nibir Adnan said: “Even though I found success in modelling, I always felt that acting was my true calling.
“For years, I trained and prepared myself for this. I even studied theatre and auditioned to earn my place in this film.
“I’m truly grateful to Sunny bhai for trusting me with such a pivotal role.
“Sharing the screen with seasoned actors like Azmeri Haque Badhan, Misha Sawdagar, and Faruque Ahmed has been an enriching experience.”
Nibir has worked with nearly every major fashion brand in Bangladesh, with a modelling career that expanded into Mumbai.
His portfolio includes campaigns for Amazon India, Raymond, and Spykar.
Most notably, he recently became the face of a Bulgari perfume campaign, a rare milestone for any Bangladeshi model.
His international modelling assignments also took him to fashion circuits in London and Dubai.
While he remained a prominent figure on runways, the transition to acting is something he had prepared for behind the scenes for years.
Looking ahead, Nibir hinted at more projects in the pipeline.
He revealed ongoing discussions for several film and web-based ventures, both within Bangladesh and internationally.
He assured fans that they wouldn’t have to wait long to see what’s next.
With Esha Murder, Nibir Adnan has not only made a bold leap into acting but also solidified his place as a versatile talent.
