Netflix has announced the upcoming release of the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale, which offers an intimate look into the life of superstar Nayanthara.
The documentary is set to premiere on November 18, 2024, coinciding with the actress’ birthday.
It will feature contributions from her husband, Vignesh Shivan, as well as appearances by prominent colleagues from the South Indian film industry.
This includes Vijay Sethupathi, Rana Daggubati, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
This nearly 90-minute documentary chronicles Nayanthara’s remarkable journey, beginning with her debut in the 2003 film Manassinakkare.
It will showcase what led to her status as a leading star across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema.
Netflix India teased fans with a special Diwali announcement that showcased the documentary’s poster.
It features Nayanthara in a stunning black gown, looking back at the camera while standing on a red carpet amid adoring fans.
The documentary promises to unveil a side of Nayanthara that has rarely been seen, inviting viewers into her private world.
The announcement read: “The docu-film invites viewers to explore a never-before-seen side of the actress, who has kept her life private for many years.
“Nayanthara opens her home and heart to inspire young dreamers to reach for their aspirations.
“Filled with untold stories of her roles as a daughter, sister, partner, mother, friend, and a force to be reckoned with in the industry, the film celebrates the magic that makes her shine.”

Following her Hindi film debut in Atlee’s Jawan alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara’s career continues to flourish.
She has several Tamil films lined up, having already completed work on Test and Mannangatti Since 1960.
Currently, she is involved in the Malayalam film Dear Students and the Tamil sequel Thani Oruvan 2.
Additionally, she is set to collaborate with director Sundar C on Mookuthi Amman 2.
