"I have filed a complaint about sexual harassment by my uncle"
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s niece has accused the actor’s brother of sexually harassing her when she was a child.
Shamas Nawab Siddiqui has been accused by Nawazuddin’s niece for alleged sexual misconduct.
Upon hearing the news, Nawazuddin’s estranged wife Aaliya has claimed that many “shocking” facts will be revealed soon.
Currently, Nawazuddin and Aaliya are in the midst of an ugly divorce battle as the former has already revealed many scandalous claims against her in-laws.
According to an interview with E Times, Nawazuddin’s niece disclosed that she filed a case against his brother at the Jamia Police Station in Delhi. A section of her statement read:
“I have filed a complaint about sexual harassment by my uncle when I was nine years old.
“My parents were divorced when I was two years old, so I had a stepmother. I was tortured a lot.”
The victim further added that Nawazuddin did not support her and he refused to believe her. He said:
“Chacha hai, aisa kabhi nahi kar sakte.” [He is your uncle; he can never do this].
The victim, who is residing with her husband in Delhi, also added that her father and the actor have “filed false cases” against her in-laws in order to harass them.
Aaliya took to Twitter to share her view on the matter. She wrote:
“This is just the beginning. Thanking God for sending so much support already. Lot will be revealed, shocking the world as I am not the only one who suffered in silence.
“Let’s see how much of TRUTH money can buy & who all would they continue to BRIBE.”

In response to the allegation, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui has took to social media to voice his thoughts, saying:
“How can someone misguide the law and file the same case with different statement at @DelhiPolice, @Nawazuddin_S in the earlier statement given 2 years back to Court & the case is in #UttrakhandHighCourt as well.”
He added in a tweet:
“It clearly indicates the motive and the person behind publicising this fake things in media.”

This is not the first time Nawazuddin’s brother has been accused of wrongful doing. In fact, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya revealed that she was domestically abused by his brother.
According to an interview with Bollywood Life, Aaliya claimed that her in-laws had a “pattern” of mistreating women.
She further added that her brother-in-law [the one accused of sexual harassment] hit her. She explained:
“He [Nawazuddin] had never raised his hand on me, but the shouting and arguments had become unbearable.”
“You could say though that only that was left.
“Yes, but his family has mentally and physically tortured me a lot. His brother even hit me. His mother and brothers and sisters-in-law used to stay with us only in Mumbai.
“So, I’ve been bearing a lot for too many years. His first wife had also left him for this reason alone.”
This allegation by his niece has added more woes for Nawazuddin Siddiqui in terms of his personal life, and according to both parties concerned more is yet to follow.
