"In our tradition, joy is always shared outward."
Family-run Indian vegetarian restaurant group Namaste Village is marking its 10th anniversary by offering customers 50% off food bills across all six of its restaurants in England.
The offer will run from June 29 to July 5, 2026, as the business celebrates a decade since opening its first restaurant and thanks the communities that have supported its growth.
Founded by the Jetani family, Namaste Village operates six sites across England: Norwich, Cambridge, Twickenham, Oxford, and as Namaste@OmNom in Islington (London) and Birmingham.
Namaste Village has built a reputation for its Indian vegetarian and plant-based cuisine rooted in Gujarati traditions.
The restaurant group said the anniversary celebrations reflect the values that have guided the business since its inception: community, sustainability and compassion.
According to the family, the origins of Namaste Village date back to their arrival in the UK in 2006, when they struggled to find the type of vegetarian food they had grown up eating.
What began as sharing meals and culture with others gradually evolved into a restaurant concept centred around hospitality and community.
Vijay Jetani, co-founder of Namaste Village, said:
“We did not open a restaurant. We extended our table. Every person who has ever joined us has added something to what Namaste Village is today. We are grateful beyond words.”
Namaste Village’s philosophy is guided by the Vedic principle of Atithi Devo Bhava, meaning “the guest is God”, alongside the concept of Vasudeva Kutumbakam, which translates as “The World Is One Family”.
Namaste Village said these principles continue to shape its approach to hospitality and food.
The menus across its restaurants are based on Gujarati culinary traditions and Indian vegetarian cooking, with dishes informed by Ayurvedic principles.
The company said menus are refreshed annually in response to customer feedback and the diversity of Indian cuisine.
What’s New This Anniversary Week
Taste of India on Wheels
A fully capable mobile kitchen now travels across England, bringing the same recipes, welcome, and values on the road.
The van’s look will be unveiled on July 1, with details of upcoming pop-up locations to
follow.
A Renewed Menu
This anniversary season, Namaste Village has introduced a selection of new, traditional and inspired dishes to its menu.
The additions have been shaped by conversations with guests and the family’s continued exploration of India’s diverse culinary heritage.
Each dish draws on Gujarati traditions and authentic Indian vegetarian cooking, incorporates principles of Ayurvedic practice and reflects a unique story.
A New Digital Home
Namaste Village will also launch a new website in late July 2026.
The family said the platform will serve as more than a traditional restaurant website, instead reflecting the journey, values and community that have shaped the business over the past decade.
Designed to capture the warmth and authenticity of the brand, the website will document the continued growth of Namaste Village and the people who have been part of its story.
The anniversary celebrations will also place a renewed focus on Namaste Village’s charitable initiative, Dosa on the Wall, which enables customers to purchase meals for those in need.
The scheme allows guests to buy a meal and leave the receipt on a designated wall. Anyone requiring food can then redeem the meal anonymously, with no questions asked.
Over the past decade, Namaste Village said it has distributed more than 50,000 meals through the initiative, both directly and through charity partnerships.
To mark its 10th anniversary, the restaurant group has pledged to increase its contribution to the scheme.
For every meal purchased by a customer through Dosa on the Wall during the anniversary week, Namaste Village will contribute an additional one and a half meals.
Dalsukh Jetani, co-founder of Namaste Village, said:
“In our tradition, joy is always shared outward.
“This anniversary week, every act of generosity from our guests, every meal left on the Dosa on the Wall, will be met by one and a half from our kitchen.
“Because celebration, done properly, always gives more than it receives.”
