Filmmaker Karan Johar recently met Hollywood icons Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway during an international promotional tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The famous director shared his excitement about meeting the stars while they were discussing fashion and their upcoming project.
In a new video shared by the studio, Karan was seen engaging in a very playful conversation with the actresses.
Anne Hathaway asked the Indian filmmaker a very specific question about whether he judges the shoes of other people.
Karan immediately replied, “All the time!” which caused the talented actress to burst out laughing in front of everyone.
Meryl Streep observed the footwear Karan wore for the special occasion and gave her own expert verdict on his style.
Noticing that the filmmaker was wearing shoes from Prada, she said: “You have the perfect shoes on today!”
This interaction felt like a dream come true for Karan, who has long been a devoted fan of the film.
A few days ago, the director took to Instagram to share pictures with the legendary actresses and wrote a caption.
“This is not a caption. This is a confession. I am singularly obsessed and inspired by the unmatchable brilliance of Meryl Streep.”
He mentioned that she has been his guru in the art of acting and portraying complex characters across global cinema.
Karan revealed that he has watched the iconic film The Devil Wears Prada no less than 47 times.
He has even quoted the famous lines at dinner tables and in various board meetings over the last few years.

The director tried very hard to stay calm but admitted that his “knees were RATTLING!” during the entire magical encounter.
He described both Meryl and Anne as very warm and welcoming during their brief but memorable chat.
Karan Johar stated that the image from this meeting is so special that it will be included in his will.
