Married at First Sight UK’s Steven has reignited speculation that he’s moved on with a new girlfriend following his dramatic split from wife Nelly.
Things began to deteriorate for the pair shortly after their honeymoon.
The couple was involved in several arguments, with Steven facing backlash for his comments towards Nelly.
And despite efforts to make things work, their marriage ended following rumours that Steven had an affair during partner swap week and rumours that he was on dating apps.
On November 4, 2025, Nelly removed her wedding ring and declared that the relationship was over.
Now, just days after the episode aired, Steven has caused a stir online with a cryptic Instagram Story that fans believe hints at a new romance.
He posted a black-and-white photo of himself at a restaurant, showing two drinks and a bottle of Sriracha on the table.
Although the image didn’t reveal who the other drink belonged to, eagle-eyed Reddit users claim they have identified the woman, after she shared the same photo in colour, captioned: “Date night”.
The post has sparked buzz that Steven has moved on from Nelly.
He has also shared a series of barbed Instagram posts aimed at Nelly.
Referring to the dentist as his “ex-wife”, Steven wrote:
“The smile of a man who left the experiment after partner swap and still showed up to give the ‘audience’ what they wanted. ‘Are you not entertained?’
“Yeah, that’s right… I refused home stays because there was nothing romantic there from me. A conversation the ‘ex wife’ knew about as she was sat right next to me when speaking to producers.”
Ending the caption, he added: “Signing out, Mr Villain.”

In another Instagram Story, Steven appeared to mock accusations that he had used dating apps during the show.
Posting his alleged dating profile picture, he wrote:
“Age: 34/ Location: Never you mind/ Kids: Yes/ Religious: No/ Star Sign: Sagittarius.
“Recently discovered that I have evil eyes, am a red flag and very much hated.
“One thing I’d never do again – marry a stranger.”
He also appeared to accuse Nelly of lying about her broken rib, which happened during filming.
Steven added: “Shower thought I had recently – if I slipped here now, would I need an X-ray for a broken rib or would I just tell people it’s broken.”
In another post, Steven listed “things you did not see” on the E4 edit of the show, including dates, brunches and shopping trips, claiming they were left out to shape a particular narrative.
He added that the unseen footage proved he did make an effort in the relationship despite how it appeared on TV.
The father-of-two also addressed the backlash he’s faced since the show aired, insisting he takes “full accountability” for his actions.
Steven said: “Oh and before anyone says it – I take full accountability for my behaviours at times here and they’re inexcusable and I have apologised for them enough.”
“Of course, some of my actions will trigger some people if they have experienced this in the past.”
“I don’t like watching it back myself and I get your views entirely. But, sending abuse not just my way, but my kids way is disgusting.
“Don’t ever question who I am as a Father because that is one thing I know I’m doing right and will always do right.”
