In anticipation of his maiden visit to India, Mario Dedivanovic took the time to speak with Vogue India, sharing his insights and beauty hacks specifically tailored for Indian skin.
When asked about what he is most looking forward to, Mario said:
“Firstly, I’m excited to visit India finally! It has been a lifelong dream to travel there.
“I’m excited to be able to teach and connect with the beauty community in India.
“Since it’s my first time there, I’m not really sure what to expect.
“I’m going with an open mind and heart, and I’m genuinely excited to connect with the Indian people and culture.
“I have a deep respect for the Indian culture, and I look forward to discovering all of the brands and artists there.”
With Diwali right around the corner, Mario shared his go-to look for the festive season.
The makeup artist said: “During the festive season, I love to apply pops of rich colour on either the eyes or lips while keeping the complexion natural and softly enhancing the features.”
Mario went on to share his hacks for long-lasting makeup in India’s hot and humid climate:
“Layering products in thin layers helps to achieve long-lasting makeup.
“Using cream formulas first and going over with just a bit of a powder formula helps to set the makeup and ensures its longevity.”
Mario went to share some makeup tips for Indian skin tones.
He said: “Use a bit of colour corrector to balance any grey or uneven undertones on the complexion.
“I try to avoid too many grey tones and keep with more warm and golden tones on the skin.”
Mario Dedivanovic, who began working with Kim Kardashian in 2008, went on to reveal his favourite part about being her makeup artist:
“She truly loves makeup and glam, and it’s one of my favourite things about working with her.”
