Makeup mogul Huda Kattan revealed her go-to makeup products and festive beauty routine in time for the holiday season.

Huda Kattan is an icon in the beauty sphere thanks to her brands Huda Beauty and Wishful Skin – not to mention, her Instagram page that boasts nearly 50 million followers.

The makeup artist and blogger recently shared her definition of beauty as well as her take on skin positivity.

Huda also shared her skincare routine and makeup hacks for the holiday season.

She said: “I cleanse my face in the shower followed by an exfoliating toner.

“Then I prep my skin with an essence, which is my favourite part of my skincare routine.

“After that, I use my derma-roller and immediately apply our Thirst Trap Juice serum followed by our Wishful Honey Whip Peptide Moisturiser.

“My final step is the application of our Wishful Get Even Rose Oil to seal in all the goodness that I’ve applied during my skincare routine.

“The best part is that all of these Wishful products are available at Nykaa.”

The Indian e-commerce company Nykaa sells beauty, wellness and fashion products including those from Huda Kattan’s brands.

Huda Kattan added:

“I’m all about having a glowing complexion this holiday season.

“Try applying makeup with your fingers as it’s perfect for helping you achieve that glowing look.

“The heat from your fingers allows the makeup to melt into your skin for a gorgeous, natural finish, so it’s great for when you’re attending multiple events on the same day and you’re caught off-guard without your makeup tools.”

The beauty sensation launched her brand Huda Beauty in 2013.

Since then, the beauty blogger has consistently introduced new products for her fan base.

Talking about her go-to makeup product from Huda Beauty, the blogger said:

Primarily known for her makeup brand, Huda has also achieved success with her skincare line Wishful Skin.

Speaking about her preference between skincare and makeup, Huda revealed:

“It’s impossible to choose. I obviously love makeup and that’s a big part of who I am, but the two both go hand in hand.

“In order to have a bomb makeup look, you need to have a gorgeous base which comes from skincare.”

The blogger added: “I’ve been very vocal about my experience with acne, texture and everything under the sun.

“I’ve put a lot of work into transforming how I see myself as I’ve always used makeup as an armour.

“But when we shot our first Wishful campaign, I decided to bear it all and not wear any makeup to demonstrate what real skin looks like.

“We’ve taken a stance with Wishful to not retouch the skin and to ensure that our models aren’t wearing any makeup for any of our campaigns – something that’s rarely done amongst beauty brands.

“Our goal is for people to feel beautiful no matter how their skin looks.”

Blurring out blemishes and using filters has become the norm for many beauty brands in their campaigns.

The influencer added that the beauty industry creates toxic expectations.

She said:

“The one thing that’s so important to me and something that we’re working so hard to achieve at Huda Beauty is to show that there are truly no rules to beauty.

“Beauty should be whatever you want it to look like for you.”

“So whether that’s contouring your face or adding blush to make you look flush or anything you wish to do to make you feel secure in who you are.

“I fell in love with beauty because of how transformational it was and I still love it for that reason.

“So it shouldn’t be up to any brand or any industry to decide what is beautiful – that should come from within.”
