Alongside Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor, The Archies also stars Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda.
The film also marks the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana.
In an earlier conversation with India Today, Suhana spoke about her first day on the set of the film and said:
“From the number of people on set to the number of lights on set and the hair and the make-up and the chaos, I feel like in the middle of it, I just felt extremely significant.”
She added that everyone on the set was doing everything to “facilitate Zoya’s vision and knowing that on my first day and realising that, I felt extremely nervous and at the same time, incredibly responsible”.
The 1960s coming-of-age musical is set in the fictional town of Riverdale, with the teaser of the film showing the cast of characters dancing around, appearing to be living their best lives.
Variety had previously announced that the Bollywood film will “reimagine the classic characters like Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Moose and Jughead as Indians and will feature all the classic elements of the hugely popular comic book series.”
