Kareena Kapoor warns Saif against Having Child at 60 f

"I’ve told him, in your sixties, that’s not happening."

Kareena Kapoor praised her husband Saif Ali Khan for the way he has raised his four children.

He has two children from his first marriage to Amrita Singh – Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.

Saif and Kareena married in 2012 and they have two sons named Taimur and Jehangir.

The age difference between eldest child Sara and youngest child Jehangir is 25 years, but Kareena stated that her husband gives time to all his children equally.

She pointed out that her husband has had a child every decade in his adult life, but said in his sixties, it is “not happening”.

Kareena explained: “Saif has had a child every decade – in his twenties, thirties, forties, and now in his fifties.

“I’ve told him, in your sixties, that’s not happening.

“I think only a man as broad-minded as Saif could be a father of four children at very different stages.

“He gives his time to them all. And now, with Jeh, we are trying to balance it out.

“We’ve made a pact that when he’s shooting for a film, I will try not to work on one at the same time [and vice versa].”

She went on to talk about the close bond that Saif and Taimur share.

“Tim likes people. If there are people at home, he wants to be a part of it.

“He’s also a mini Saif, wanting to be a rock star, listening to AC/DC and Steely Dan with his father.

“They have an incredible bond. Tim says, ‘Abba is my best friend’,”

On looking after a baby and a toddler, Kareena says about Taimur:

“He tells us, you’re watching Netflix, so why do I have to turn off the iPad? That’s good enough reasoning.

“He’s four, but Tim knows his mind, and our parenting style is to be open and include him in our lives and respect him as an individual.

“We try to teach him that when you make decisions, you bear the consequences.”

“And he’s a boy, so I’m very clear about the consequences!”

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor will be seen next in Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Aamir Khan, which marks their third collaboration after 3 Idiots and Talaash.

She also has a series in the works with Sujoy Ghosh, based on the novel The Devotion of Suspect X.

Meanwhile, Saif has Adipurush and Vikram Vedha in the works.
