"I am eagerly waiting to be banned here"
Kangana Ranaut has said she is waiting to be banned from Instagram, just days after her Twitter account was permanently suspended.
Twitter suspended the actress account for “repeated violation of Twitter rules”.
Since then, she has chosen to use Instagram as a substitute platform to voice her opinions.
Ranaut has already had a post deleted by Instagram, in which she pledged to “demolish” Covid-19.
Now, she is claiming that having the platform delete her account completely would be “a badge of honour” for her.
She also accused Instagram of lacking human values, calling the platform “ugly, shallow and useless”.
Taking to her Instagram story on Monday, May 10, 2021, Ranaut wrote:
“On Instagram, everybody is a victim of capitalism an entire generation of youth eaten up by the termite of capitalism and consumerism.
“Their indifference and disdain for the nation and its crisis is appalling, lack of human values empathy and nationalism makes them ugly shallow and useless.”
Ranaut went on to say that she never liked Instagram, and being banned from the platform would be an achievement.
She said:
“This platform never appealed to me and I am eagerly waiting to be banned here, it will be a badge of honour.
“When I look back, I will remember I did not fit in, I made them uncomfortable, I asked questions and pushed them to go beyond buying and selling.
“When you look back what will you see yourself as? Meek obedient sheep in a herd waiting to exploit or get exploited?”
Kangana Ranaut’s remarks come shortly after Instagram deleted a post she uploaded on Saturday, May 8, 2021.
The post revealed that she had tested positive for Covid-19, and is quarantining herself.
However, she referred to the deadly virus as a “small-time flu” getting “too much press”, and Instagram deleted it.
Ranaut’s caption to the post read:
“I was feeling tired and weak with a slight burning sensation in my eyes for past few days, was hoping to go to Himachal so got my test done yesterday and today the result came I am Covid positive.
“I have quarantined myself, I had no idea this virus is having a party in my body, now that I know I will demolish it.
“People please don’t give anything any power over you, if you are scared it will scare you more”
“Come let’s destroy this Covid-19 it is nothing but a small-time flu which got too much press and now psyching a few people.
“Har Har Mahadev.”
Kangana Ranaut’s Instagram post did not stay on the platform for long. By Sunday, May 9, 2021, it had been removed.
So, in true Ranaut fashion, the actress took to her Instagram story to take a jibe at the platform.
She said: “Instagram has deleted my post where I threatened to demolish Covid because some were hurt.
“Matlab terrorists and communists sympathisers suna tha Twitter pe lekin Covid fan club awesome.
“It’s been two days here on Insta but don’t think will last here more than a week.”
To date, Kangana Ranaut’s Instagram account is still active.
