"She hasn’t seen the things we have seen."
Twinkle Khanna and Kajol have responded to the criticism surrounding their talk show Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, after several comments on marriage and relationships sparked a social media debate.
The pair said their remarks were intended to be humorous, adding that viewers had sometimes taken their lighthearted teasing too seriously.
They also admitted the show would have benefited from a disclaimer at the very beginning to clarify the tone of certain segments.
Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle has now concluded, with a bonus episode released after the original episodes had already started streaming on Prime Video.
In this episode, the duo addressed the backlash and discussed how certain conversations were blown out of proportion.
Kajol opened the segment by saying, “Now it’s time for our next segment, which has gotten us into a lot of trouble.”
She added, “Here, opinions don’t matter as much as lighthearted teasing.”
Twinkle followed with, “Nothing we say in this segment should be taken seriously. Please don’t follow any of our advice.”
One of the most discussed moments came during an episode with Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon, when Kajol suggested that marriages should have an expiry date with an option for renewal.
Another instance involved an episode featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar, where the hosts explained that physical infidelity was “not a deal breaker” for them.
Karan agreed with the sentiment, while Janhvi said, “No, the deal is broken.”
Twinkle added, “We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s, and she will get into this circle soon. She hasn’t seen the things we have seen. Raat gayi baat gayi.”
The newly released bonus episode featured cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma, who joined the hosts for a more relaxed wrap-up of the season.
The show featured a strong guest lineup throughout, beginning with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan and later including stars such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Janhvi Kapoor.
The first episode set the tone with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan sharing a couch, sending fans into Andaz Apna Apna nostalgia.
Their journey from rivals to close friends played out through blunt honesty and chaotic humour, showing why the Khans dominate every room they enter.
The second episode saw Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan join Kajol and Twinkle for a nostalgic catch-up.
They reflected on beginning their careers together, evolving into parents, and joking about how their children might one day become friends.
Travel mishaps, strange set memories, and playful bickering ended with a quiz that came with its own twist.
Episode eight brought Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon together for a high-energy conversation.
Kriti discussed her business ventures, love life, and career pivots, while Vicky opened up about method acting, family bonds, and his Katrina Kaif fanboy days.
The episode mixed bold debates with lively games before ending with a ‘Tauba Tauba’ dance lesson that left viewers calling it “too much” in the best way.
Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle remains available on Prime Video, and both hosts maintain that the series was created to entertain rather than offer serious relationship advice.
