"others can keep their stupid opinions to themselves"

Jasmin Bhasin opened up about her relationship with Aly Goni, addressing public scrutiny, religious commentary, and the bond they share.

Jasmin reflected on how the relationship evolved over time.

The pair were originally friends but only decided to give their relationship a go when they participated in Bigg Boss 14.

Jasmin explained: “Aly and I met as friends, then Bigg Boss happened.

“I was going on the show, and before that, we discussed that staying together was not an option for us.

“Then he came on the show and said, ‘let’s give it a try’. We were always in love, just that we were in denial and also not ready for it at that time.”

Their bond changed before the show, deciding to distance themselves to gain clarity about their feelings.

Jasmin continued: “We were such good friends, enjoyed each other’s company a lot, later we decided that some distance was important so we could move on in life.

“If we had this clarity that we both could not be partners, and could not see a future together, then what was the point of hurting each other, getting into a relationship, and making it toxic?

“It was better to be best friends, it’s emotions at the end of the day, so if someone is around you, always moving on gets difficult.

“In that break, he realised that he wanted to give us a try, and I was always okay with it.”

However, their relationship has not been free from criticism, particularly about their different religious backgrounds.

Hitting out at the critics, Jasmin said:

“The relationship is between the two of us, we have an understanding, we have had these conversations. We have reached a common ground, we have accepted each other the way we are.

“We are sorted between us, so nobody’s opinions matter.

“Still, if people give negative opinions that can affect our relationship, then shame on them.

“The world needs love and positivity.

“If two people are happy, others can keep their stupid opinions to themselves, and if they are so clever, they should focus on sorting their own lives.

“This is our life, and we will figure it out.”

Sharing how being with Aly has helped her grow emotionally, Jasmin Bhasin added:

“I have become a calmer and a more mature version of myself. He is connected to his family, and I admire that about him.

“I also learned to be more involved with my family. I used to be very impulsive and hyper, I have matured after meeting Aly.”
